Love You Grandma!

Grandma had surgery on her foot (nothing serious) so the boys and I spent a couple days with her, making her smile, and making a mess at her usually clean house! I joked that after 48 hours of spills, spit, crumbs, breaks, and drool we may not be invited back anytime soon.

New Hat

Thank you to Daddy's family for bringing back this hat for Paxton. They went on a road trip to visit cousin Nikki in Washington, and made a stop in South Dakota. It worked great on our walk!

They amaze me......

Usually what happens on a daily basis is Paxton tries to play with Hudson's toys, or even touch Hudson, and Hudson does NOT like it. A hundred times a day I hear, "No Baby Brother. That's Hudson's stuff." But something was different yesterday, outside on the deck, Hudson asked his brother to play and said, "Here Brother, you have this one. I have this one. Your's is green Brother. Do you like it?" Even Daddy noticed and asked what got into Hudson?!?! And then, out of the blue, Hudson put his head up to Paxton's......and I got a picture!!!!!

7 MONTHS

Paxton is 7 months old today! Hard to believe he's closer to 1 year old than he is a newborn!

Fixing Baby Brother?!?!

You never know what you'll walk into after leaving Hudson and Paxton alone in a room together! This is what I found this morning! Hudson has sat on his brother before, but this time was special! This time he had a screwdriver (toy)! When I asked him what he was doing he replied, "Screwdrivering Baby Brother's head." I told him it was naughty to do that and it hurts Baby Brother, but he told me, "No, he likes it. See!" and pointed to Paxton's big smile! Then said, "I'm fixing him." Not quite sure what he thought was wrong with him? If nothing else, Paxton is going to get pretty tough dealing with all his big brother is going to throw at him!

Little Devil

Grandpa got these light up devil horns for Hudson and he has put them on in about every way possible except the right way! But his favorite way is in the bottom picture......as "boobies". And he thinks he is hilarious! Running around saying, "I got boobies on!". Some days I'm embarrassed to claim him!

New Trampoline

Hudson's poor trampoline got blown away in the many storms, and even though Daddy and Grandpa gave it their best effort, there was no saving it. And since Hudson loved jumping, Grandma couldn't resist buying him a brand new one. A BIG brand new one!!

Party at the Park

We celebrated our cousins; Alec and Aiva's 2nd birthday parties at German Park. It was a great party for Hudson because he got to run around and play outside the whole time! And even better, he got to dip his toes (and legs!) in the water fountain!! We tried our best to get a picture of all the kids, and out of 10, this was the best I had. From left to right; Shay (Tyson's daughter), Alec (Casey's son), Paxton, Carson (Casey's son), Aiva (Tyson's daughter), and Hudson.

On the move......

I usually feed Paxton his meals in the bouncer seat, and always strap him in, but this morning for breakfast I was taking his picture first and forgot to strap him in afterwards. This is how I left Paxton after his breakfast.........

And this is where I found him! Sneaking into the kitchen to find Mommy!! Little bugger climbed out of his bouncer seat and crawled all the way into the kitchen! A rather long ways for a 6 month old!!! He's a mover! And a fast one!

Playdate at the Nordby's

We had another playdate with the Nordby's, this time at their house. Hudson enjoys playing with all the toys that he doesn't have at his house. And he had a great time riding around in Brody's gator! They went up hills, down by the woods, behind the house, and all around! And the whole while, we could hear little giggles and see bobbing heads! They also decided it would be fun to take all the cushions off the couch and then jump off onto them! BOYS!?!?! And I can't believe I have 2 of them! Paxton and Brenley were happy enough just sitting nicely and watching their crazy brothers, keeping out of the way!

Daddy's Ball Game

We went to Daddy's softball game in Courtland tonight. And we had supper at Swany's beforehand. Mommy loves their waffle fries! And Hudson liked all the dead animals everywhere, i.e. deer heads, turkeys, fox, coyotes. Very appetizing! Grandma Sharon came to the game too! And all the cousins, therefore Hudson ate lots of candy! At home we tell him if he goes potty on the toilet he can have a sucker. So when Daddy bought him a sucker at the game, he ran to me and said, "Gotta go on the toilet now Mommy." Smart boy! However, when we got home he said he was done with his sucker, therefore shouldn't have to go on the toilet anymore.

"Deer by the tree Mommy?"

Hudson spotted an interesting thing in the yard last night, a deer?? He yelled, "Deer by the tree Mommy! A deer!?!?" I told him it was a pretend deer and he replied, "Yea, not real." As though he already knew that. Duh Mommy! Daddy was shooting his bow at this poor deer named Glen.

We had the pleasure of bringing Brody home with us after daycare on Wednesday! It's so fun watching Hudson and him play together.

Brody takes the wheel, and Hudson finds the perfect station on the radio for their cruise!

Daddy and Hudson

Daddy grilled ribs for supper last night and Hudson took in some pointers for his own grill and played some basketball. Apparently grilling ribs takes hours because I didn't seen Hudson until bedtime!

Contrary to how it looks, Paxton must've been very comfortable sitting in his swing this way. Grandma tried moving him, but he just wiggled his way right back, foot up!

Bavarian Blast 2010

We participated in some Bavarian Blast festivities this weekend, one being the parade this afternoon! The highlights were definitely Princess Logie and Grandpa driving the 3M truck! Paxton enjoyed about half of the parade before zonking out on Sheri's lap, who then had to pass him off to Arnie's lap so she could run out for candy! Before he fell asleep, he tried with all his might to get even just one kernel of popcorn! He settled for a few sucks on a piece of candy. Hudson would tell you that he liked the parade and that "it was really, really fun!" but our little chicken was a little frightened of some of it, especially the narren/gnomes, but who isn't just a little scared of those weird, carved masks!?!?!

Popcorn & a Movie

Hudson and Daddy snuggled in to Shrek 2 tonight. All they needed was a little popcorn and some drinks! I'm not sure how much of the movie Jamie caught because Grandma and I could hear Hudson blabbing the whole time all the way downstairs! He must already know that in order to keep Daddy awake, you have to keep him talking!

Flandrau Trip #3

Spent yet another beautiful afternoon at Flandrau! When Hudson woke up this morning, his first words were, "Flandrau today Mommy!" It was perfect in the 90 degree heat! As long as even just our feet were in the water, it wasn't too hot. Of course, Paxton and Hudson kept their whole bodies in the water!

So hungry......gotta eat toes!

I swear we feed this kid, usually all day long! He is very well fed, he's just a goofball and thinks biting his toes is funny! I think he learned it from his brother!

Flandrau Trip #2

We spent another afternoon at Flandrau. Hudson just loves it out there! And so does Paxton. They both spend every second in the water, and we were out there for hours!
