Twins Game

Jamie and I don't go many places just the 2 of us, so the Twins game tonight was a date for us. But as we were leaving, Jamie mentioned that it was nice to do something just us, and I ended his sentence by saying, "But I miss the boys." We thought of them while we were there and bought Hudson a banner. How convenient that there happens to be a player on the team with his name!

9 Months Old!!

Paxton is 9 months old today and the poor baby is suffering from a double ear infection. He tries hard to be in good spirits but enjoyed most of the day snuggling with Daddy and Grandma.

School Night

Hudson enjoyed another evening of school. He really likes going and talks about it a lot, remembering everything he did. Tonight his favorite activity was playing in the corn. He was excited because it was corn just like Grandpa has in his fields! His buddy Brody was a big fan of it too, and they both sat so nicely for snack!

Brody's House

We went to Brody's house today to pick pumpkins, which Hudson was very excited to do.....until we got there! Then all he wanted to do was play with Brody. He loved riding around in the gator and tractor wagon. And Brody only dumped him out once! Hudson laughed and asked to do it again. Thanks to Mommy, we did manage to pick out 3 pumpkins, and Brody picked us one more! He's proud of his pumpkins.

Scarecrow Festival

We spent the beautiful Sunday afternoon at Emma Krumbee's Scarecrow Festival. Hudson enjoyed every minute of it, and everything it had to offer! He loved all the pumpkins, trying to lift the heaviest ones. He thought the scarecrows were funny looking and wanted to go on the horses and choo-choo train again and again! Paxton was busy just watching all the action, and went on his first train ride with Daddy. And they both enjoyed a yummy treat; Hudson shared carmel apples with Grandma and Paxton had ice cream with Mommy.

After the festival we headed over to Jim's Apple Barn where Hudson only had eyes for this green caterpillar sucker!

Lucky Boy!!

Hudson went to the grocery store with Daddy this morning for chili ingredients and came back with this sucker. Daddy said he was such a good boy, pushing around the "shopper in training" cart, he deserved an extra special treat. He thoroughly enjoyed his sucker, right down to the stick!

Mid-conversation.....

Paxton was in the dining room, all by himself, just a babbling away. And he certainly wasn't going to stop talking for a picture!

Uncle Arnie loves me!

I've said a million times that we are so lucky to have Arnie, and he loves the boys so much! He's always trying to make them laugh and smile! We love you Uncle Arnie!

ECFE- Night #2

Hudson had his second night of "school" and we both had a lot of fun. It's great watching him run around the room to each activity, sometimes learning new things, and other times showing Mommy how smart he already is. And thankfully he's still young enough to not be embarrassed that his mommy is the only mommy in class that takes pictures! I just can't help myself.
Picking up pom-poms with tongs.
RUNNING back to the classroom after washing up for SNACK!!!
Patiently waiting for his cookies and juice. And no surprise here, he was the last one at the table. As long as those teachers were handing out more helpings, he sat.

Mornings

Of the 2 boys, Paxton is by far the happiest in the mornings. He greets Mommy with a smile, easily gets dressed, drinks a bottle, and still makes time to play toys before leaving for daycare.

And indoor fun.....

Getting ready for set a push-ups?
Here comes trouble!
Almost climbing into the toy shelves!
And stop everything for a little brotherly love.

Outdoor fun.....

"I need a push Mom!"

"Mommy, what's on the other side of this fence?"

Just us??

While Paxton took a nap and Daddy watched football, Hudson and I went on a walk to the park. Halfway there Hudson realized something was a little different than usual, turned around and said, "Is it just us today Mommy?" Yep, I said. It's just us. Then he asked, "No Brother?" And I said no, Brother was home with Daddy. Then he asked, "You miss him?" And I said yea, I kinda did, and he replied, "Yea, I miss him too." Melted my heart.

Happy 2nd Bday Sid!

It was Sidney's 2nd birthday party yesterday, and like Hudson, she's a fan of Elmo so had an Elmo party too. Paxton and Regan were the only kids who enjoyed wearing the Elmo hats. Or maybe Paxton is just too little to figure out how to get it off by himself?!?! Sidney got lots of fun new toys and Hudson treated her to a nice dance!

Teaching Baby Brother

Hudson is slowly becoming more fond of his baby brother, although this changes on a minute-to-minute basis. And today was a good day! He shared his Goldfish crackers with Brother, even biting them in half before putting them in his mouth. He said to me, "Gotta bite in half or Brother will choke." So smart! Although, I swear Paxton is hiding molars in his mouth because he can chew food very well. I think he could eat a whole piece of pizza given the chance! Then we went on a wagon ride (Paxton's first time) and Hudson was explaining the ins and outs of going on a walk. He told him we'd go down the hill, then go by the hole (cut tree trunk), then we'd see the man with the owie knife (a.k.a. Hermann the German), but that it was too cold to go to the park. And he made all of this up on his own mind you. And all the while, Paxton stared at him as though he was listening to his every word.

Big Eater

Paxton is a G-R-E-A-T eater!!!!! He loves all of his baby food, his favorite is spaghetti! But even more than that, he loves REAL food! We've given him small pieces of lots of different foods. He will literally attack you if you're eating in front of him! The kid just loves eating and I'm certain he'd eat anything and everything if we let him. Rachelle, our daycare, said she thinks he'd eat all day if he could! He'll be bigger than his big brother in no time.

Daddy Daycare

When the boys stay home with Daddy, they do "boy" things, and Hudson loves every minute of it! They built a fort in the living room with the couch cushions, pillows, and blankets. The boys crawled underneath and Paxton laughed like crazy at his big brother! In the last picture, Hudson is doing a sneak attack on Paxton, climbing in through the top!

"School"

Hudson started his second year of an ECFE class tonight. At 2 years old, he's moved up a class, but checking the sign in sheet, he is the youngest one in the class. He walked around the classroom trying all the different activities, and did really well for about 40 minutes of the hour long class, then he realized his nose was running, he coughed, tripped over a toy, and suddenly remembered that he had a cold and it was all down hill from there. I'm hoping this first cold will boost his immune system to keep fighting off those daycare germs....but I won't hold my breath.
Hudson painted a very nice picture, but keep in mind he was supposed to paint his hand and then make his handprint. But in true Hudson-like fashion, he didn't want to get messy and opted to keep the paint on the brush!
Window colors with Brody.
Hudson's first time at using a scissors. He's much smarter than Mom. As I was trying to remember just exactly how you're supposed to correctly hold a scissors, he just used 2 hands!

We try to get outside whenever we can yet. Soak up any warmth that's left in the air! I don't know how Paxton gets in the positions he gets himself in, whether it's in his swing, bathtub seat, booster chair, etc. He's very flexible and absolutely cannot sit still!

Como Zoo

We made it to the Como Zoo before the cool, Fall weather creeps in and had the perfect day! It started out just Mommy, Daddy, the boys, and Grandma, but then we got a great surprise and Sheri, Vicky, Uncle Lon, Hunter, Dominique and Logie showed up!
Checking out our favorite by far; the monkeys!!
My own little monkey, Paxton, posing so sweetly.
Brothers and the turtle.
He is the most well behaved baby!! Always so content with Mommy.
And even a nice family picture!
