Hudson's Day

Hudson got to go on a special date just with Mommy and Daddy, NO BABY BROTHER! And man was he excited! He reminded me all day that Baby Brother was NOT going with to Mickey Mouse's Roadshow, and it was JUST HUDSY!!! He loved seeing Mickey Mouse and friends in real life! His favorite was Woody and Buzz. And he sure did enjoy the treats!
Ready for the show!
Watching while eating his big pretzel.
Still eating that big pretzel!!
Mickey and the gang.
Hudson's favorites!
And to top it all off, a blue icee in a Mickey cup!

What it takes to put up a Christmas tree in the Johnson house......

One grandma holding up the tree, one Daddy tightening in the trunk, one Mommy pulling off branches, one snoopy baby trying to see everything, one impatient 2 year old wanting so badly to touch the tree, one "desperate for attention" puppy, lots of toys in the way, and one photographer (Logie) capturing the moment.

Parade of Lights Tradition

Every year, the Friday after Thanksgiving, we watch the Parade of Lights and then eat supper at Lamplighter. This year was a cold year, so we bundled up and braved the bitter chill! Both boys LOVED the parade!! Hudson named every thing on each float, as Paxton danced and yelled! Neither of them seemed to care one bit that it was FREEZING, and for some reason, an extra long parade this year!
Grandma and Grandpa with the boys.
Hudson has really started taking an interest in hunting....Daddy's dream come true. Mommy still whisphers in his ear that she does not like hunting, Daddy yells. Hudson loves playing Big Buck Hunter! And I have to admit, watching Hudson try to shoot the gun just like his Daddy is pretty cute (especially in matching sweatshirts!)!
Daddy says after you shoot the big buck, you gotta blow the smoke from the gun.
Paxton enjoying the rest of Hudson's corndog. This kid would eat until his tummy exploded!

Meeting Santa

Santa Claus was visiting the Citizens Bank today so Mommy and Daddy took the boys. Hudson was very excited, he's been talking for days now that he wants to sit on Santa's lap. I was sure he was all talk, but surpringly, he sat on his lap and told him that he wanted a new tractor for Christmas, then asked where the cookies were! Paxton wasn't so sure about meeting Santa. He looked at Santa, then back at Mommy, then at Santa, and back at Mommy again. Last year Hudson went to see Santa 3 times, so I'm guessing this won't be our only visit.

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a busy Thanksgiving, going from Grandpa Ray's, to Grandma Sharon's, to Aunti Sheri's. Whew! Paxton was wiped out on his first Thanksgiving, getting 2 shorts naps in, one on Grandma and one on Ditty. He ate lots of yummy food and Hudson, well, he ate pickles and corn!
Mommy and her 2 boys....who did not want to take pictures!
Hudson showing Maddi the card he made her.
Daddy and Son #2
Hudson and Alec playing in the little space they could find with all 40 people in the house.
Our family
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!

TV Time

Why is it that little kids can never be close enough to the TV?
After awhile, Hudson snuggled in to watch the movie more comfortably on the couch.

Bathtime Nightmares.....

90% percent of the time we bathe the boys together, so up until now, we've always had Paxton in the bath seat, for safety reasons.....and now we know why! We tried it without the seat, and Pax of course loved it. Roamed the bathtub freely, grabbing for toys, crawling and splashing around. Standing up every once in a while to test the waters, see what he could get away with.
Both boys playing with toys, minding their own business....
Hudson going in for what he called a "hug".......
But ended up being a CHOKE!!!!!
I've said it a million times.....POOR PAXTON!!! He is such a good boy, and yet he has to deal with his big bully of a brother! No question about it, Hudson is most definitely "terribly two"!!! And sometimes he makes it hard to remember just how sweet he really is.....or can be.
P.S. I didn't want to put this picture on the blog but Jamie said I had to because, in his words "It's too great not to!" I don't agree.

Hiding!!

Hiding in the corner so Hudson doesn't see him playing with his toys. Smart little brother!!

Making Cupcakes

Hudson made cupcakes today, and Mommy and Daddy helped. He got to do all the steps almost all by himself. They are delicious! And somehow, out of 24 cupcakes, we only have 13 left!
Putting in the cupcake liners.
Adding the water and oil. The eggs were a bit more tricky, but he still managed to get all 3 into the bowl, without the shells!
Mixing the ingredients.
Just a little taste test!

Thanks for dessert Hudson!

Roosters!

Daddy went pheasant hunting today and came home with roosters!! Hudson was so excited! He wanted to pet those roosters again after his nap. I didn't have it in my heart to tell him that the roosters were no longer in any condition to be pet, so I said they woke up and flew away! :)

Paxton's 1st Haircut

Paxton got his first haircut at 10 1/2 months and it was much needed! Not so much on the top of his head, he's still fairly bald, but the back was growing like crazy and Mommy was calling him an "old man". This little boy is such a busy body, he was turning around every which way trying to figure out just what Aunt Vicky was doing to him. But he did a good job, and even better after getting a sucker! Mommy kept his locks of hair for the baby book. They are a little darker and much curlier than Hudson's.

Big brother Hudson said he'd go first so Baby could watch and see what it's all about. He is still a 2 year old who LOVES getting his mohawk cut!
Doesn't he look so little in that big chair?!?!
This was Hudson's 1st haircut. He was just over 1 year old. And had to have a sucker too!

Last Day of School

Hudson and Mommy went to his last class of ECFE tonight. I think Hudson's favorite thing about school was the red table, always filled with something different; tonight with water, sail boats and blocks.
He also loved making these dot pictures, of course with his favorite color dots, BLUE! Making sure to get a dot in every circle.

Fun in the....(I wish this said sun!!!) SNOW!

After Hudson went from gazing at the snow out one window, animal crackers and milk by his side.....
To another window, again, with his animal crackers and milk.....
I decided to let him go out and have some fun in the wet snow.....
And fun he had!!! Going down the snowy slide.....
Into a big snow pile!
And for a time, Paxton enjoyed it too, but then he got cold. Neither he nor I were ready for the first snowfall!
