Happy 2nd Birthday Paxton!

We celebrated our baby boy's 2nd birthday today. He woke up to a living room filled with balloons and loved it!

His new car was a hit! But if you ask Hudson, its a sled.
He was a very happy birthday boy this morning!

Opening his favorite present....a new baby! He loves his baby and takes such good care of it.

Giving Grandma some love.Such an adorable boy in the sombrero, loving the attention!

Teeter-totter.

Warming up with Maddi by the fire.

Love from his Godmother.

Almost 2.....

This little guy went to bed a 1 year old for the last time tonight. My baby. Tomorrow morning he will wake up 2 years old (actually at 8:01am). But according to him, he's been 2 for about a month now. Tomorrow he'll wake up to balloons galore, presents, cupcakes and balloons for daycare, and a little party with family later on (big one to come in January). And to a Mommy and Daddy that love him with all their hearts, and a big brother who loves him most of the time.

Christmas Day

We spent Christmas Day with all of our families and couldn't be more thankful.

Our attempt at getting the boys' picture together. I thought telling them they could stand on the fireplace would get them excited for a picture, and it did, but they could use a lesson in posing.....

Lovin' up the puppy from Logie.

Digging into his "bag-o-splat balls" from Maddi.

Mommy and Pax- the only one willing to take a picture with me.

Hudson and Sidney were inseparable all night long. Running around, playing with splat balls, locking themselves in rooms, and sneaking treats and eating them in the bathroom of all places!

Paxton showing Logie how cute she'll look in the hat he bought her.

Christmas Eve 2011

Santa's visit was approved by these two boys! Although, I think he brought way too much! They would've been just as happy opening one or two gifts and playing the rest of the day. Hudson was fun to watch, saying the funniest and sweetest things. Santa even remembered Baby Girl Johnson, and when Hudson opened those gifts he said, "Its for my baby sister! Santa knows everything! Mom, I bet he seen your big tummy when we went to see him!".

Santa remembered Pop the Pig game!

Paxton snuggled with his sleeping bag.
When Hudson couldn't win a candy with the Claw game, he just used his hand instead.

Paxton loves his new trampoline, his favorite gift by far! Hudson says his favorite is the indoor swing.

Reading a Christmas sotry.

Christmas Eve night, we went to church and then back home for more present opening with Grandma and Grandpa (and Sheri, Arnie, and Shane).

It literally took them FOREVER to get through all their presents, between playing and just being too busy socializing to even care.

The whole clan.

Preparing for Santa....

Sanat is expected to visit tonight and the boys made absolutely sure that he knew where they lived, and that they were on the "nice list" (even though I think their names may have grazed the naughty list from time to time!). First, they sprinkled the reindeer food and sparkles on the front porch. The sparkles didn't have quite the same effect without the white snow, so Hudson suggested we keep the lights on so the reindeer can still find them.

Paxton gave the reindeer a quick smooch.
Then inside to tend to Santa. Hudson carefully picked out which treats to leave him. Thankfully they made so many at daycare all week!

Especially because all this little boy did was eat them! I caught him grab one and asked what he did, and he was quick to show me what remained inside his mouth!

Hudson usually gets mad at his little brother's antics, but tonight, he thought Paxton was hilarious!

Hudson assumed Santa likes chocolate milk better than white since he and his brother prefer it.

I sure hope Santa enjoys his goodies!! They were made with love (filled with the hope of getting good presents!).

Daycare Xmas Party

Hudson and Paxton had their Christmas party at daycare today, and they had a really fun itinerary! All week they've been doing Christmas-y things; baking treats, watching Christmas movies, writing letters to Santa, and making Christmas crafts. Yesterday they baked the gingerbread wall pieces to build and decorate their houses today. Tiffanysaid both boys loved it, and she sent me pictures to prove it! Paxton loved eating the candy the most! Here's their creation. They each made one, but we had a fatality on the way home and only one house survived. They also made their holiday trains and binoculars to watch for Santa.

Thank you Tiffany and Noah, for the wonderful, fun party and the great gifts! We appreciate you!

The last Ahlness girl....

Finally, all the Ahlness girls under one roof.....Maddi came home tonight! Paxton snuggled right in to her and Nala. This puppy isn't quite as quick to run away from Paxton's tight squeezes as our Bella is.

Letter to Santa

The boys wrote letters to Santa at daycare and they brought tears to my eyes.....from laughing so hard! Both letters show each boys' personality perfectly! Hudson, the detailed story teller (his was 2 pages!), and Paxton with his famous answer to everything!

Hudson's letter reads- Dear Santa, I want a pop the pig (game) and you can put food in his mouth and like his tummy gets bigger. My dad says I should have that gun that shoots darts. I'll take a shirt. I want jammies. I want jammies that has a dump truck on it. I'll just take a plate. Yeah. I want a plate. I want a real tree and like 5 ornaments for my tree and like 3 presents to put under my real tree."

Paxton's letter reads- Dear Santa, Huh? What?? Noooo. A present."

I'm sure Tiffany asked Paxton what he wanted to write to Santa, and like always he gave her his "Huh?".

Logie & Hunter

Logie is home from college and we couldn't be happier to have her! She rushed over to see the boys and we'll enjoy and cherish every moment we have. And Hunter spent the weekend at our house. When Hudson woke up Sunday morning and seen Hunter sleeping on the couch, he was very excited to have a friend over! Please don't mind the half naked boy, and the other one who looks nearly miserable. I promise they were both just having fun!

Mavs Hockey Game

Hudson and Daddy spent some quality time together on Saturday night at the Mavericks hockey game. Hudson had a blast and a million stories to tell when he got home. He was able to meet their mascot, Stomper, and get a signed hockey puck which is now his prized possession. And he talked to Santa and some cheerleaders. As you can see below, behind that cheesy smile, sits a cheerleader that I'm told flirted with my little boy.

Mommy was home with Paxton, hoping to spend some quality time with my littlest, but he wimped out and begged to go to bed at 7:00pm!

Johnson Christmas

We went to Grandma Sharon's house on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with the Johnson side. The boys had fun as usual, playing with all of their cousins and opening presents! I asked for one nice picture with them, and because Daddy said, "Look who has boogies in their nose" to try and get them to look at him, Paxton was prompted to put his finger in his own nose and find his boogies!

Paxton got a new laptop from the Flitters and he loves it!
Daddy played Wii Just Dance and gave us all a good laugh!

Pax got in on it too. He loves to dance! He tried so hard to get the moves right.

Seeing Santa- Take 2

Paxton said he was willing to see Santa again so Mom and Dad took them out. With the promise of getting a candy cane after you sit on Santa's lap, Paxton knew he had to be brave and he didn't cry! Surprisingly, he even talked to Santa! Hudson told him he wanted the Pop-a-Pig game and a gun that shoots darts! May I add that these are both toys that I don't think "Santa" knew Hudson wanted and "Santa" thought he was done getting Hudson toys up until this visit. I think this should be the last time we see Santa until next year! When Santa asked Paxton what he wanted, Paxton first replied with his usual, "Huh, what?" But then said he'd like a tractor and a baby. I hope the baby that will be arriving in May counts as his Christmas gift :)

If you noticed the bright yellow Spongebob band-aid on Paxton's head, he had a little run in with a Christmas decoration. A sign fell right on top of his head, causing a small gash, and he will NOT let anyone take that band-aid off!
