Pumpkin Carving

Hudson has been waiting to carve our pumpkins and was so excited that the day was finally here. He was a big help too, poking the holes for Grandma and Daddy.

And taking a few stabs at his own mini-pumpkin.

The finished products; Daddy's mummy and wolf, and Grandma's witch.

All with help from Hudsy!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2011!!!

1st Sleepover

Hudson went on his first ever sleepover....to Grandma's house! He was so excited! Spent about a half an hour trying to convince Grandma that it was the perfect night for it, then he packed his suitcase with about 10 different sleeping buddies and blankets, 2 pairs of undies, jammies, clothes for the next day, and he was ready to go! Barely waving good-bye as he got in the car.....

And when I called him this morning, he told he was going to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's forever and he didn't miss us at all :(

Courtland Halloween Party

Our second Halloween party of the season was in Courtland. Poor Pax wasn't feeling the greatest but just didn't want to stay home and miss it either, so he came along, rosy-red cheeks and runny nose!

Hudson's famous "tongue sticking out" stradegy he uses for concentration.

The Nordby kids again!
Pax stirring the pot.

These 2 monkeys crawled all around the fire truck!

ECFE Halloween Party 2011

We went to the big Halloween party at Jefferson School and it was a hit! Surprisingly, they both wore their costumes....willingly! And both wanted their faces painted! Hudson with black lips and PRETEND blood, and Paxton with an orange beak. They were adorable!!!!!!!

Meet Hudson the Vampire and Paxton the Duck....

By far, Paxton's favorite activity was the bouncy house! Jamie had to crawl in and pull him out!
Hudson's bowling stance/crouch.

Playing "Pin the Nose on the Jack-o-lantern" and I was cracking up because he really did keep his eyes closed the whole time, and kept asking, "Is this right? Am I close?"

Quickly posing for Mom.

Throwing the piggy beanbags. Poor Pax, his duck legs were riding up most of the night.

Once again this year, Hudson loved the puppy, Fetch!

And we met the Nordby's there. Brody the Cheetah......

And Brenley the Cutest Poodle! Pax and Bren ran around holding hands....the most adorable moment of the night!

Instead of napping....

Grandma watched the boys this week, and while Paxton napped, Hudsy and Grandma got busy.

They cleaned out pumpkins.

And baked a Halloween cake!

Pax at school....

Paxton had another night of ECFE on Tuesday and he just HAD to wear his sunglasses to class! He painted with corn cobs...

and played in the table while Mommy tried to scare him with spiders. Didn't work, he laughed!

Sprinkled Eyeballs

I found a couple Halloween treat recipes to make with the boys this year and we tried the first one out tonight. They were meant to be eyeballs made from donut holes, but that got a little complicated so we just decided to sprinkle them like crazy!

And Paxton sprinkled himself like crazy!

Visiting the Nordby's

I took the boys to meet Baby Bayler on Sunday. The perfect little boy napped the entire while we were there. Pax and Hudson just peeked in on him every once in awhile.

Paxton gave Brenley an impromptu hug and I happened to catch it on camera!
Ryan took the kids on a golf cart ride on the trails.

Boys doing boy things. Hudson said we couldn't leave until they picked up ALL the sticks!

Severs Corn Maze & Fall Festival

This Johnson family of 4 went to Severs Corn Maze and Fall Festival this afternoon and had a wonderful day! The boys had so much taking in all the activities. Their favorite, by fa,r was the corn pit and we spent an hour in there alone; jumping, digging, diving, and burying!! I'll let the pictures tell the story of our fun day.......

The "camel guy" felt sorry for Pax crying on the sidelines and let him ride on the camel with us.

Halloween Preview

Here's what the boys might look like on Halloween, and I say might because it wasn't easy getting them in to these costumes. Well, Hudson loves to be a vampire, but he doesn't care for his picture taken and needed to be bribed with suckers (after a few frustrated tears of course!). And Paxton was bribed with getting to go outside. I will not be holding my breath on Halloween night that Paxton will be a duck, he's not a big fan! We only did this for Grandma. She puts their picture in the paper every year. I'm not sure its worth the trouble, sweat, and tears.

maddi & pumpkins

Wednesdays are our lucky days! Not only do we get supper at Sheri and Arnie's house, but when Maddi doesn't have to work, she takes the opportunity to come home to visit us! And this time, she brought gifts.....pumpkin arts and crafts!

She made the catepillar for the boys and they loved it!
Thanks Maddi! We love you, and your creative talents!

Combining with Grandpa

I picked up Hudson from daycare today and asked if he wanted to go out in the combine with Grandpa, and his eyes got real big as he asked, "The corn is ready?!?!" He was so excited, yelling for me to turn into that field because he could see Grandpa!

And when the sun was setting he still wasn't ready for Mom to come get him! Your little farmer sidekick will be back Grandpa, to sit on his "buddy seat" next to you.

Pre-K Picture

Our baby's first school picture. Hard to believe.
