a little blush...

Paxton wanted to add some color to his cheeks this morning, and hung out with Mom in the bathroom while we did our makeup. Daddy was in the shower....NOT happy with how we were spending our time :)

the boys go to the dentist....

We had a double appointment at the dentist this afternoon, and it was Paxton's first trip. Overall, it went really well. They both got an A+ on their report card and walked away with teeth brushing goodies and lots of stickers.

Daddy and Hudsy looking for Waldo.

Pax sitting on the tooth stool.
Hudson is a very good patient, laying back quietly, helping count his 20 teeth. A very good role model for Paxton.

But Pax still needed the comfort of Mommy. He opened his mouth just enough for the dentist to count his 16 teeth, and to tell us that they are very close together so we need to be extra good at flossing (great!).

Indoor Sunday

We woke up to a chilly Sunday morning, and a chilly house, so Daddy started a fire.

And we decided to spend the day indoors, doing indoor things Hudson had been asking to do for days now. Starting with play-doh.

When we were done with play-doh, we played Hungry Hungry Hippo, Elefun, did puzzles, and baked cookies. When 4 o'clock rolled around and the sun finally peeked through, we headed outside with the neighbors. At 55 degrees, it still felt awfully chilly! We're getting spoiled by this early spring/summer weather.

Outdoor meals

With the beautiful weather, Hudson insists we eat every possible meal outside. Either in the top of the fort, a blanket on the deck, or on the picnic table. For this meal, he wanted scrambled eggs and banana bread. And I make him anything he wants, because it isn't always easy to get him to eat, so....eggs and banana bread it was!

And they ate every bite! In about 2 minutes so they could get right back to playing!

The last night......

Paxton may be spending his last night in his own room. I say "may" because I'm holding my breath that it works out. That Hudson will welcome Paxton into his room, and that they will SLEEP! They're both very excited for the transition. Hudson even tells me we don't have to move Paxton's crib in because he can just sleep in his bed with him. I think they'll get along, but maybe too well. So tonight I took pictures of what Paxton's room looks like, to always remember the room we brought him home to, and the room he and Hudson grew to love to play in.

And pictures of my baby climbing in to bed as he does every night. More than excited to get to sleep!

Step, by......

Step.

And a couple pictures of Hudson's room as it is now. We aren't changing much, other than bringing Paxton's furniture in and rearranging a little.

Soon we'll get started on baby girl's room. I'm so excited about "my vision" of what the room will look like. I love standing in her closet, staring at her clothes. I can't imagine how much I'm going to love standing in her room!

the boys and their dilly bars

"Why are you taking my picture when I'm eating a dilly bar?"

"I smile for you Mommy."

a saturday outside...

On Saturday morning we hopped on our bikes and headed to a park further from our house. It was still a little chilly and a little windy, but the boys had fun at a new place.

Daddy taught Paxton how to climb UP the slide.
I was quite the sight on my bike! Yellow baby belly hanging over.

Then we stopped for some lunch and had a picnic at another park. Pax chewed on his while still playing.

The boys both loved climbing on this sea monster, dragon thingy.

And later in the evening we had a picnic on the deck.

Pop-Bead Friday

We had another sick day at home on Friday and boys enjoyed easy entertaining like pop-beads.

Little hands, little beads.
Such precise work.

Paxton was very proud of his creations, as was I. He picked all the same color and shape to make his little catepillars.

And Hudson followed directions perfectly to make a blue puppy and orange and yellow starfish.

our day together

I've been home with the boys all week. Paxton was a little under the weather, and then daycare was too. But today, we were healthy so we spent the entire day having fun, and it was one of the BEST days I've had with my boys! It started with Hudson having Early Childhood Screening, and I couldn't have been more proud of him! He did such a good job and I sat behind him with tears in my eyes. Afterwards, we picked up Paxton and headed to Burger King for breakfast.

Then to our first park of the day.

Paxton is so brave and can do everything the park has to offer, without fear or help from Mom.

This was Hudson's favorite thing to do, walk across the bouncy, wave-like thingy (no idea what its called or really what its for!).

And he was very excited when the school across the street came out for gym class and brought balls and toys, and shared with him.Our last stop of the afternoon was Dairy Queen. Perfect ending to a perfect day!

Happy Birthday Ditty!

We celebrated Ditty's birthday on Tuesday night and she was lucky enough to wear the sombrero, and even luckier to get a shot of tequila........

That Daddy was nice enough to take for her. Hudson was proud of the card he made her. Showing her each picture he drew, his name he wrote all by himself, and carefully picked out stickers! And not to leave out Paxton. He worked hard on his card too! Happy Birthday Ditty! We love you SOOOOOOO much!

Farm Show 2012

We headed to the Farm Show this afternoon. The boys played amongst tractors, lawn mowers, and baby chicks.

Holding the baby chick. Paxton said they were "icky".
Enjoying the kettle corn outside on this beautiful day. Hudson is excited to do everything the outdoors has to offer now that its warming up. He even said pretty soon he can go swimming in Ryan and Liz's pool.....are you ready for us guys?

And they were finally able to swing outside again. Poor Pax had to go in the baby swing yet. When Daddy gets home, he'll put up the other big boy swing for our big boy Pax.

At the Nordby's

We spent Friday at Brody, Brenley, and Bayler's house. 8 kids total, and they had a blast playing together! Paxton LOVED the bouncy house! Everytime he heard it come on, he ran to dive in.

The baby lover in Hudson just HAD to hold Bayler.
He adored him, so gentle and loving.

Paxton held baby Adalyn...but only for a second.

The big boys watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Thanks for a fun night Nordbys and Jensens!
