Packages......

After visiting Santa last week, we went to visit Grandma at her work. She was one of the poor souls that had to work Black Friday at midnight. We thought we'd brighten her day with bringing the boys to her. But I think they may have had more fun! Daddy packed them in boxes and rolled them into the receiving room. They loved it and their loud giggles showed it!

P/T Conference

We had parent/teacher conferences for this handsome young man tonight. His teacher had positive things to say about him. He's the youngest child in class, but the most verbal and talkative. No surprise there! When it comes to group activities, he's happier watching that participating. Again, no surprise. He can trace his name and write it out when shown how. And he's very good with a scissors! Going to the library is one of his favorite things to do and he loves picking out a new book every week. Having a parent/teacher conference was a little surreal. Seems like we were there talking about our baby. We're sure proud of our growing school boy!

Grandpa's Boy

We are used to having a GrandMA's boy around here with Hudson, but a little Paxton has become a GrandPA's boy. He talks about his Grandpa all the time, asks for him, and when he's around he loves him up!

Puttin' up the tree.....

We got our tree up today, alot thanks to Grandma! Hudson, Grandpa, and I pulled up a chair to pretty much just watch her in action. We helped a bit with the ornaments. Hudson picked his favorite spot on the tree and ALL of his ornaments went in that spot. I sure hope Grandma comes over again when its time to take the tree down!

Showing Pax the tree since he was napping while we put it up...at his request!
If you see a flash of a shadow in this picture, its Paxton running by. That boy can be such a wild man, never able to stand still for a nice picture with his brother.

Noah's Party

Our neighbor (and new daycare's son) Noah had his 2nd birthday party this weekend. The boys were so excited to walk over to the party. Hudson said his whole body was shaking he was so excited! And the party was a hit! Tiffany had stations set up around the house with different Mickey Mouse themed activities. They made Mickey Mouse ears, sand pictures, and mugs. Not to mention ate Mickey Mouse cake!

Hudson and Karson digging in to the frosting....I mean cake! Happy 2nd Birthday Noah! Thanks for the afternoon of fun!

Boys- meet Santa!

Mommy and Daddy took the boys to meet Santa and....well.....the picture says it all. Paxton did not care to sit on Santa's lap. He was perfectly fine watching all the other kids sit, but as soon as his little behind hit Santa's leg, the tears were flowing! Hudson didn't mind one bit though. He was excited to tell Santa that he wanted splat balls for Christmas, specifically a piggy and an egg splat ball. Santa's reply, "What?". I sure hope Santa figures out what splat balls are before Christmas morning. Maybe Godmother Maddi can help him out since she's the one who gets Hudson all of his splat balls.

And one without the crying brother.

Annual Parade of Lights

Every year the day after Thanksgiving calls for the Parade of Lights, and this year was the perfect evening for it! The temperature made it bareable to be outside for the 30 minutes, watching for the lit up floats go by, patiently waiting for Santa. Paxton LOVED it, could hardly wait for the horses to come by!

Afterwards, we celebrated Amy's birthday. Pax and Sid helped her blow out the candles.
And Paxton pulled up a teeny-tiny chair and took a seat. It was hilarious!

PlAyDaTe!!

Mommy had a few girlfriends over on Friday afternoon, AND THE KIDS!!! There were 8 total, and they had lots of fun running wild! Their favorite toy.....the stairs! Going up and down, and up and down again! And again and again! It was my only opportunity to get almost all of them in one picture. In this one you can see Brogan, Brody, Paxton, Brenna, and Hudson. Missing are Trevan, Brenley, and Bayler. Brody and Hudson also enjoyed scaring the littler ones in their masks.

ThAnKsGiViNg 2011

Thanksgiving was a busy one again this year with going to the Portner side and Johnson side. We started at Grandma and Grandpa Portner's. Hudson spent most of the afternoon running around outside in the beautiful temperatures! In and out of Grandpa's sheds filled with tractors and combines. Paxton spent a lot of time hanging out with Daddy in the garage, playing cards.

Eating with Sidney and Regan.

Admiring Daddy's card playing skills.

Our family picture.

Tackling, wild boys.

Hudsy and Grandma Cindy.

Hudsy and Grandma Sharon.

Paxton couldn't get enough food at Grandma Sharon's house. He dug right in to the pot of mashed potatoes.

It was a long day for the poor little guy with no nap.

Last day at Shelly's

The boys had their last day at Shelly's, the daycare they've grown up in, before they start at a new daycare next week. They each brought her their own bouquet of flowers and cookies for their friends. Mommy wanted to make sure they remember the special people that loved them from the start so we sent a camera with for pictures.

The boys and Shell.

With their buddy Bryn.
With the big boys, Shelly's sons, Bayler and Brach. Great role models for the boys and always so good to them.

The whole gang. It's hard to say good bye to their first friends but we'll start a new journey next week and they'll make more friends and learn new things.

Doggy Doo-Doo

Leave it to Maddi to find a game called Doggy Doo-Doo, where you feed a dog treats and it poops! It caused the poor dog to have some not-so-good sounding gas, and some loud laughs from the boys (and mainly Maddi!).

Munchie!!

Thoroughly loving that lasagna!!

Tree Shopping

We went shopping for our 2011 Christmas tree tonight. Hudson was so excited! He carefully inspected every tree looking for the perfect one, and not enjoying the smell! He asked if there was poop around because he said it stunk. It was just the evergreen smell, which I personally love! We found a tree and it is currently "warming" in our garage until after Thanksgiving.

1st Potty!

Paxton sat....and he went!!! He wanted to sit on the toilet several times, and it started to feel like "the boy who cried wolf". He'd tell me he had to go potty, but it was AFTER he had already gone in his diaper. But we'd still go on the toilet he'd want to sit on there forever! So long in fact, that I stepped out to feed the dog, and came back in to a wet toilet seat (and floor!!). He PEED!!! We were so happy for him! Hudson grabbed him in excitement! Big brother pride!

P.S. Paxton is holding the pumpkin soap because Hudson was trying to bribe him with it, telling him he'd get to wash his hands with the cool soap if he went potty :)

1st sit on the toilet.....

While in the bathtub last night, this little one told me he had to poop, so I asked if he wanted to go on the toilet and he said "yea". Up until this point, he's been refusing to do anything on the toilet so we were excited! He sat on there for awhile, while Mommy and Hudson praised him, clapping, and encouraging him to poop, go potty, toot...do anything really! But he just sat there, proudly. I don't know that we're ready to venture into training yet, but we're sure proud of his baby steps!

Bathtime Buddies

I think these two get along best in the bathtub, which is a good thing since its a potential place for harmful behavior!

Having "squirt wars".

Last night of school....

Paxton had his last night of ECFE. I'll miss the Tuesday evening alone time with him. He had my camera most of the night but I managed to get this picture of him admiring Brenley's ponytail. The blur in the picture is Paxton's finger prints on the lens.

After class we had a "Mommy and Littlest Son Date" at McDonald's, Paxton's choice.

Masked Men

On a trip to the store with Grandma, Hudson decided he just HAD to have this mask, and that his little brother just HAD to have one too! They run around the house, trying to scare each other and anyone else they come upon.

Last of warmer days.....

With chillier temps coming our way, we spent the last minutes of daylight outside. I think Hudson may be the only one excited for the snow to start falling. All he talks about is making a snowman and going sledding. This Mommy is happy to wait as long as Mother Nature will allow!

Poor Pax was just hoping the water would eventually come out of the water hose.

Laundry

It was a little too quiet in the house and I wasn't quite sure where the youngest Johnson boy was, and as I checked the living room, I found this.....an emptied laundry basket that once held very neatly folded clothes, replaced with a sneaky little boy, who told me he just wanted to go "nigh-nigh in the basket". Now who could get mad at that face?!?!

Homemade Pizza

While Daddy was away hunting, the boys and I thought we'd make some homemade pizza for supper. They loved sprinkling on the cheese....or more like throwing it on in piles! And carefully placing each pepperoni, and their favorite....black olives! And if I do say so myself, it was delicious! We might have 2 little chefs on our hands :)
