Here they are- the CUTEST costumed kids ever! The dragon, the monster, and the kitty.
And they wore Halloween shirts to daycare on Monday.

carving pumpkins

Per tradition, we carved pumpkins this weekend. And when I say "we", I do not mean me! This is a job for Grandma, Daddy, Hudson, and Paxton. Something Hudson looks forward to from the second we get the pumkpins. Paxton was more interested in playing with the messy guts and seeds.
Look at that concentration....that tongue sticking out concentration.

Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, a skeleton eating a mouse, and the devil and witch.

Laughing at Hudsy

This laughing session lasted forever! Which is somewhat amazing because Hudson isn't the brother that pays attention to his sister, but he loves teaching her things and he wanted nothing more than for her to hold the elephant toy and drop it when he told her to. And sister thought that was HILARIOUS!
(If anyone knows how to rotate videos on YouTube, please let me know!)

Here she comes...

What happened to my itty bitty baby and how has she been replaced by this girl, who wants so badly to keep up with those big brothers?!?!? She's always up on her hands and knees, rocking back and forth. She can't wait to crawl for those toys! Watch out boys, here comes Sis!
Until she does a little face plant like this....

Transitions

After almost 2 months of sleeping with Paxton, the time had come to get him back into his own bed (and poor Jamie wanted out of the basement bedroom). I had become attached to my baby boy snuggling next to me and dreaded that first night without him. But like Hudson says, "everything is going back to normal". It's like the theme to our lives right now. And Hudson is handling it all like a pro but if you ask him if he likes it, he will tell you, "Actually, I do not." And Pax didn't handle that first night very well. He cried...alot. His big brother did everything he could to make him feel better, telling him, "I'm nervous too buddy, but its going to be okay. Mommy will be here forever, I promise." It was the sweetest thing I had ever heard. But after a couple nights of crying, his sweetness tarnished and he asked, "Is Packy going to cry again tonight because I really can't take it anymore." He's always making us laugh, and he makes difficult situations better. And not only did I lose Paxton, but we also moved Harlow into her own room too. No more swaddling, no more watching her sleep by the side of my bed. Man, this transitioning stuff is hard on mama! But we're all coping .....as life goes back to normal.

These are the many pictures I took with my phone, of our nights together....

another year at valleyscare

We picked another gorgeous day to go to Valleyscare this year. So gorgeous in fact that we had to beg the boys to take their costumes off, in fear they would get too hot, but man they love those costumes! Everyone had a wonderful time, and it is so good to see Paxton getting to be a normal kid again! And thankfully he's always liked to be strolled rather than walk, so he was happy as can be riding around the park.
Hudson the One Eyed Monster and Regan.
 Sidney and Paxton the Dragon.
Pax laughed outloud on this ride! Made my heart smile.
 Good buddies.
Mommy and Miss Harlow the Kitty.
Hudson was sure to give each and every Charlie Brown character a giant hug! And Paxton is still talking about seeing Snoopy and his friends.
 The drooling cat.
Thanks to Regan and Sidney, I got to have some fun on rides too!

Preschool Pictures

Hudson brought home his school pictures today. His teacher had told me he didn't really smile, despite them trying everything to get him to, so I wasn't expecting much, but there's something about this face that makes the picture just perfect! He's so handsome, my 4 year old. And comparing the picture to last year's, man he's grown up! Makes me a sad mama.

Spider Cupcakes- Year 2

We made spider cupcakes again, just like we did 2 years ago. I made it somewhat of a math lesson for Hudson and had him count the 8 legs, put some on and subtract how many he had left. We do this alot with snacks. What better way to learn :) And he's very smart when it comes to adding and subtracting snacks, amazes me! He'll be a math whiz.

He told me he ate the spider's eyeballs and asked if I could see them.
Pax couldn't wait to get that delicious spider in his mouth!
Harlow even got to have a little taste of chocolate frosting....she liked it!

2 silly boys and 1 pretty girl

The boys made two animal balloons and thought it was super fun, so they made 8 more! We have balloon animals floating all over the house.
And this is just one happy, pretty girl.

painting pumpkins

We painted pumpkins and gourds, and the end result definitely wasn't about beauty, just a fun time! Hudson went wild with his painting and sparkling! He put his brush on anything he could. Every single gourd we have is now a glittering with color and sparkle!
I still love that he sticks his tongue out whenever he concentrates on something.
Harlow sat outside and watched...when her hat wasn't over her eyes! Grandma and I got a good laugh out of this, and so did Harlow! She didn't care one bit which made it even funnier!
 But there's that adorable face!
The finished products.....not quite the definition of beauty, right! But the boys' masterpieces none the less!

Dead bird below.....

When Daddy came home from pheasant hunting, Hudson was very excited to see the roosters and for the first time ever, HOLD ONE!! Gross if you ask this mama! But Dad was sure proud.
