The last of summer days.....

We went to Logan's softball games on Sunday. It was beautiful day. Mom was worried it would be too windy and I wouldn't be able to breathe because I have trouble, but I was a-okay. I got my first ride on a big swing! I liked it waaaaaaay better than the baby swing Mom and Grandma keep putting me in at home. I really like being outside too, and watching sports. There is just so much to look at. I didn't even want to take the time to eat. Grandma got me a new toy for my carseat so now I even like riding in the car, well, kind of! I tried to stay awake the whole way home like the "super baby" I am, but eventually my eyes gave in on me and closed.

Birthday Party

We went out for my cousin Shane's birthday. He just got back from Hong Kong!!! I don't know where that is, but it sounds like a strange place. Mommy had to wake me up to get ready to go. Apparently she forgot my rule, "Never wake a sleeping baby!!" She's lucky I wasn't crabby at her. She dressed me in my cutest outfit ever! Big boy shorts. Maddi took care of me at the restaurant. Everyone calls her the baby hog, but she's my godmother, of course she wants me! Thats me and her checking out the menu. I suggested the spaghetti. If Mom let me have anything other than my boring bottle, thats what I would have gotten. Zevlen tried to give me ranch dressing....yuck!! We were at the restaurant a long time, it was dark out when we left. Uncle Arnie was keeping me entertained. He loves me so much, I can just tell!

Silly Mom

I am almost too embarrassed to tell this story but I suppose I will.........

Me and Mom were on our way to visit Mommy's friends at work in St. Peter when I fell asleep holding my giraffe. You would think this is a normal thing for a baby to do, but not to my mom! She thought I was so cute, and was so proud that I was actually holding onto my animal, that she pulled the car over in Nicollet to take this picture. I am going to do a lot cuter things than that Mom, so get your camera ready!

Ooo La La!!

I got my first "girly" poster in my room/crib!!! That Jessica Simpson lady sure is pretty. And what a deal, I get my diaper changed and get to stare at Jessica at the same time. Daddy got a pretty big kick out of it! Mom says he's jealous he doesn't get one, but I think he's the lucky one because he gets to stare at my mommy (and she didn't even tell me to say that!).

Hotel fun!!!!

I had my first overnight visit to a hotel!!!! It was fun to be away from home on a mini-vacation. We stayed in Chanhassen for Logan's volleyball and softball games. And the most exciting part was putting my toe-toes in the pool at the hotel!!!!! Mommy checked if it was warm enough for me first, and then.......dip, dip!!! My toe-toes went in! It must have been a pretty big deal because everyone had to watch me, and Grandma even video taped it! That is my cousin Logan's hand squishing my face. And to think, I was nice enough to cheer for her at her games!

Welcome Sidney Marie

My new cousin Sidney Marie was welcomed to our family on September 10th. Ain't she cute!!! That's my mom holding her, but don't worry, I wasn't jealous! I was willing to share because I knew Sidney wasn't coming home with us. Meeting yet another new cousin was exhausting though. I was sweet to her now because she was just born and all, but little does she know that when we grow up, I might want to play rough, wrestle around, do some tackling.....I am a boy you know!! Let's just say she can't come to me if she wants to play dolls or dress up! Pink does NOT look good on me!

I had to get all bundled up for the first time because it was too chilly outside! I liked my jacket, it was fuzzy and warm!

Tortured by my Godmother

This is what happens to me when I hang out with my Godmother Maddi!!!! She tries hats on me, costumes, puts me in carseats that are waaaaaaay to big for me!!!! And what does my mommy do? Just laughs at me and runs for her camera!! No one even tries to save me!!! Good thing I have a sense of humor! Love you Maddi!!

Read to me!!!

I absolutely LOVE reading, or getting read to I should say!!! I like looking at the colorful pictures and the way Mom's voice changes when she's reading. It's funny! Mom and Grandma really like reading to me and can't believe I like it so much!

Strollin' again...

I know you've already seen me in my stroller but Mom thought this one was really cute!!! I got that hat from my best friend Brody! Thanks!!!

Soooooo happy!!!

What a happy baby I am!!!! This is the biggest smile I have! I think the Monster in me is gone!!! Mommy hopes so! I am starting to sleep better at night (right now my mom is knocking on wood for some strange reason!). I've gone 6-7 hours at a time for the last 3 nights.

Just me!

Here are just some random shots of cute lil' me! On the top, thats me getting ready to box! Mom says if she had to guess what I'll be when I grow up, its a boxer.....and a left handed boxer at that, like my Daddy. Mom took me on a stroller ride and used it the "big boy" way without my stupid carseat. I hate sitting in that thing so Mom came up with the brilliant idea to take it out! It worked, I loved it! I could see so much better. I went to watch Daddy's softball games but I didn't last too long and fell asleep, again, in that stupid seat of mine. Grandma spoiled me big time!!!!! We went to Babies R Us and I got LOTS of new stuff. Toys, clothes, a bigger carseat, a jumper....anything I smiled at was mine!!!! Thats my new playmat. It has lights to watch, my favorite! I am a happy baby (well, most of the time)!!

I got shots!!!!

Just an update today.....I went to the doctor yesterday and the mean nurse poked me 3 times!!! What was she thinking?? And Mommy let her! Boy did I let them know how I felt about that! Mom better have good reason for doing that to me or I'll get back at her by never sleeping through the night! Thankfully, it only hurt for that second and I've been fine ever since. The doctor took my temp, looked in my ears, nose and mouth, moved my legs and arms around, pressed on my tummy, and made me smile......all in all she said I'm a perfect, healthy, growing baby! Did you hear that?? She said I'm PERFECT!!!!! And she never even mentioned the name "Monster" the entire time I was there! See Mom, I'm an angel! I weigh 11 lbs. 7 ozs. and am 22 1/2 inches long. I'm in the 50% for my weight and 30% for my height. Get this though, my big head is in the 70%!!!!! Grandma says I must have lots and lots of brains! I'm pretty sure she's right.

2nd generation of best friends

Mommy took me to visit my best friend Brody. He's 2 1/2 months older than me so thats how big I'll be in a little while. We had fun playing and talking to each other. His lungs must be more developed than mine though because he can get really loud! I was jealous! Mom and Auntie Meredith laughed at us. Watch out daycare, here we come!!!!

My first State Fair

I had a blast at the Minnesota State Fair....and Grandma was worried I'd be a monster! I showed her! I loved looking around at all the people, food, and lights. I had my first experience in the the Baby Bjorn, it was nice being carried around so close to Mommy. And when I wasn't in there, everyone else took turns holding me. I love being spoiled!! Zevlen gave me my first taste of ketchup on a french fry. Mom said he was naughty. I'm still not sure if I liked it or not. Uncle Lon carried me around like a football when I was crabby. As long as he kept moving I liked it. My cousin Regan went to see the biggest piggy. She loved her ears! I got some too but only wore them for a second. I barely slept all day long, only a couple cat naps! I was a tired boy by the end of the night, slept the whole way home, and then all the way until 7:00am!!! Mom says she wants to take me to the fair everyday! ;-)

Just hangin out...

I know my Mommy calls me a monster, but I am perfectly happy just hanging out in my crib watching my mobile!! I am learning how to talk now, and I "coo" at the turtle and giraffe as they go by. That is of course until the mobile stops and no one is there to wind it back up again. Then I have to cry until someone comes, its really quite the routine. Mom says "Why didn't they make this last longer?!?!?!?".
And if you notice, I have a Schell's Beer outfit on. Mom told me if I live in New Ulm, I have to have some Schell's gear and support the local brewery.

Baptism 8-17-08

Oh what a day this was!!! We went to church at 11:00am, and I was being an angel. After mass, all of my big family met for my baptism but.......the priest never came!! We waited at the church for an hour, trying to call the priest, church secretary, anyone really. Finally we got a hold of the priest and he apologized (he was at lunch!!) and said he could baptize me at 5:00pm. So we all went back to my house to have my party anyway, just pretend I was already baptized. Thats me and my parents, and both sides of grandparents on the top. Then my godmother Maddi, and her boyfriend, my honorary godfather Zevlen. Me and my cake, and me on my lion rocking toy from Maddi. I'm a little small but Maddi still thought I'd like it. It was fun!! After our celebration, we all headed back to church and were there no longer than 15 minutes and whoops......I poopied while Dad was holding me and it kind of seeped out of my pants, even on to Daddy's pants. It was stinky!!! I guess it was my way of getting back at the priest for forgetting about me in the first place. My mom took pictures of my poopy pants but I begged her not to put them on here, you should all thank me!! All in all, it was a chaotic day but I was blessed by the Lord in the end.

Thats me and my Daddy. Aren't we handsome?!?!? Everyone says I get my good looks from him, but I definitely got those adorable cheeks from my Mommy.

Learning new things...

I am starting to grab things and even hold on to them for a little while. Mommy has really been working with me and was so happy when I finally got a hold of these toys. Of course when I did grab them, they went directly to my mouth! My absolute favorite thing is my tongue!! I probably wouldn't even need any other toys. I stick it out, suck on my hands, twist and turn it when I smile, drool with it.....it just amazes me!

Puppies, puppies everywhere!

Daddy's dog, Zoey had 10 puppies, but since Mommy won't claim Zoey as her own, she says they are all my "step-siblings". But we have to admit, they sure are cute, but not quite as cute as me! We only have them for a few more weeks and then they'll all go to good homes.

Me and Mom were just lounging on the bed, watching TV, when this really funny show came on!! Mom must have missed it because she had no idea what I was laughing at. She sure did laugh at me then, and ran for her camera!

Another new cousin

Mommy's cousin Casey had baby Alec John on 8/6/08. He was the exact same size as me when I was born. Mommy couldn't believe I was ever that little, and how much I've grown!! I tell her I'm a big boy now. Thats me and Mom at the hospital. I'm such a good boy when we go out and about, she tells me she's proud of me!

Mommy was trying on my shades. I told her I don't need them because I can just use my "roofs", a.k.a eyebrows, but she insisted I try them on. Don't I look like a stud?!? They're a little big now so I'll have to wait a little longer to actually use them outside, so for now I'll just model them for you.

Time with Grandpa

Grandpa Greggie was at my house, don't I look like a little peanut next to him!?!?!?! We go good together because he likes to takes naps, and I like to be held during my nap! And he has a nice round belly for me to lay on, and lots of hairs for me to grab onto ;-)
