HUDSON

Meredith and her mom were kind enough to let me borrow their nice camera for a couple days. I've wanted one for awhile now but wanted to see if I like it, or can actually figure out using one! Hudson and Paxton were my lucky targets, or should I say models! Here are a few of my favorites of Hudson.......
Hudson has a beautiful smile, but if you ask to see it.....this is what you get and it ain't pretty!
Blowing Mommy kisses.
His excited face!!!!

3rd and Final Stop- The CIRCUS!!

The main reason for our trip was the Osman Shrine Cirucs at the MN State Fairgrounds and it was definitely worth it! We all enjoyed it and I think we can agree that the bike riding dancing bears were our favorite! Hudson couldn't get close enough! And he kept saying "Ride it" to the elephants but neither Mommy nor Daddy wanted to get up on that stinky monster with him! And I'm not convinced he would've gone through with it once we got on top! I realized that we'll go broke going to events like this because we'd buy our kids anything they ask for, hence the overpriced light up elephant wand and a huge circus balloon! It's all worth it to see the smile on his face and hear his breath of excitement! We're looking forward to going again when Paxton is old enough to come with us!
P.S. The first picture of Hudson is at the restaurant before the circus. We decided to try out a booster seat instead of a high chair. He was such a well behaved big boy this weekend!

2nd Stop- The Hotel

After Chuck E. Cheese we stopped for some ice cream, per Hudson's request, and then went to the hotel. As you can see, Hudson has learned well from Mommy that we always sanitize after a place like Chuck E. Cheese (we even doubled the amount!!!)! Thankfully the water in the pool was warm so Mommy and Daddy could swim with Hudson for as long as he wanted to (or until he did a #2 in his swimmer diaper!). He loves jumping in the pool and swimming crazy with Daddy. After swimming, we ordered room service and Hudson and I shared Fried Green Beans! We both LOVE them! Hudson stayed awake longer than Daddy did, no surprise there. And he shared the big king size bed with us! I have a battle wound to show for it from Hudson kicking me in the lip.....stomach, back, head, leg!! I've never seen such a wild and crazy sleeper!! But it was worth it for the moments of snuggling I got too!

1st Stop- Chuck E. Cheese

Jamie, Hudson, and I took a nice weekend trip to Chuck E. Cheese, stayed over night in a hotel, and then to the Osman Shrine Circus in St. Paul. It was a great weekend and all 3 of us had a wonderful time! Paxton stayed home and was well taken care of by Grandma, thank you!! Hudson liked Chuck E. Cheese, but Daddy and I thought it was a little too chaotic for us! Especially when our son isn't scared of strangers in the least bit! I think Hudson enjoyed putting the tokens in the games more than actually playing them! We ordered pizza but Hudson ate ONLY black olives! When we got in the van to leave, Hudson said to us, in such a sweet way, "Thank You", as he enjoyed the sucker he won with all of his tickets. Such a nice boy!

Full of Cuteness

Our adorable matching boys again! Although the shirts themselves aren't very adorable, I don't know why I ever bought them?? Hudson's says "Feed Me" and Paxton's "Full of Cuteness". The sayings are appropriate for both of them because they both want to eat all day long and they are both cute as can be!!

This is how bad Hudson wants to go swinging.....

So here's the story-----I was in the kitchen on the computer and I hear Hudson say, "Baby's swing." And knowing that Paxton's new swing was by the deck doors, without turning around, I just answered, "Yep, that's baby's swing." But he kept saying it over and over again. Then I heard some rustling, a couple bangs, and then hysterical laughter!! I turned around and found Hudson in this position! He thought he was absolutely hilarious, and so did Dad and I!!

Nice Butt!!!

Now that is one of the cutest butts this Mommy has ever seen! Not to mention a great view of that hair!!! Now I know Mommy's usually think their children are beautiful, but even I'm not blinded by that balding hair do!

Spitty

Paxton: I've kind of been spitty lately, or so Mommy says. Some days are better than others. Mommy makes me wear a bib and lay on a burp cloth so I don't get my clothes or my blankets dirty. I think its all a little silly. I'm a baby, babies spit every now and then, what's the big deal!?!?! But while I'm at it, I also wanted all my aunties and great aunties (and cousins that are like my aunties) to know that I love them!! See, it even says it on my bib!

Let me out Mom!

Poor Hudson looking out the window saying "Raaaaining out. Side amarow." Translation: "It's raining. We'll go outside tomorrow." He says this with a sad face and a runny nose while staring at his new playset and trampoline. It's almost pathetic.

Blankie

Paxton has one toy that he really likes to play with, this lion teether blankie he got from Grandma before he was even born. He likes to suck on the lion's head! His favorite thing to do right now (other than talking to Mommy) is lie on the floor, suck on this blankie, and watch TV.

Silly.....

Hudson decided to put on Mr. Potato Head's glasses, sit in his baby brother's chair, and take in a little Handy Manny. What a silly kid!

Easter Baskets

Happy Easter!!!

We had a wonderful, beautiful Easter with Grandma and Grandpa and the Ahlness crew! The Bunny was good to the boys, and so were the Easter Granparents!! As you can see, Hudson is more than enjoying his trampoline from Grandma and Grandpa, and all the rest of his goodies! He also liked finding all those eggs in the Easter egg hunt! Our backyard is huge so he got a bit of a workout, and so did Hunter who helped him with the tough ones. Finding all that candy and $40 dollars in change was worth it! And Daddy and Zevlen didn't manage to get away with stealing any of it despite their best efforts! Hudson shared the money with Paxton's piggy bank too. We were once again reminded of how wonderful the boys' Godmothers are and we send them lots of hugs and kisses for such nice gifts! And Paxton enjoyed most of his first Easter snuggling with Logie.

Death to the Bunny Cake

LET ME AT IT MOM! TAKE THE COVER OFF THIS MINIATURE BUNNY CAKE!

I'M SORRY BUNNY, BUT I'M GOING TO HAVE TO EAT YOU NOW!!!

STAB!!!! YUMMY BUNNY!!!!

THANK YOU AUNT LORI FOR THE DELICIOUS BUNNY.....UM, I MEAN CAKE!!

Paxton & Ducky

Paxton posing with the giant ducky from his Aunt Lori and cousins. Shortly after he tried eating the poor ducky's beak off!

Brody's Party

We had a fun time at Brody's birthday party today! Hudson enjoyed swimming of course, and braved the slide a few times but was much more interested in the balls and other pool toys! Too bad Paxton didn't come with us because he could've seen his girlfriend Brenley in her cute little swimsuit! I think the cupcake was Hudson's favorite part. He ate it for about 30 minutes, enjoying every last crumb! His friend Brecken was giving him a taste of his own medicine by making him pose for a picture, cranking his head! That's what Hudson does to his baby brother all the time!

EGGS!!!!

We dyed Easter eggs tonight and Hudson had a blast!! I wasn't sure how long his patience would run us, but as you can see in the last picture, he was NOT happy when we said we were all done! At first he was content just watching the eggs, then he wanted to stir them up a little bit, and then he wanted to dig his whole hand in and pick the eggs up just to drop them back in again! I'm afraid his hands will forever be green! Grandma said he looks like little Sprout from the Green Giant.

Outside

Hudson's playset is coming along, one piece at a time, one night after work at a time! Hudson likes watching his Daddy build it, and getting into Daddy's tools! Today he helped Mommy pick up rocks in the yard and put them in his pail. He made Dad take a break and check out his accomplishments! Then Hudson himself had to take a break and turn up the radio for a dance! Boy, if the neighbors were looking outside their windows during this dance, they'd be impressed by his moves! Even Paxton got to come out and enjoy the warm sunny day on the deck.

And he's off!!!

Spring time is finally here and these warm days are suiting Hudson just fine! He'd be outside all day everday! Hunter and him wrote with sidewalk chalk (it says Hudsy Jo Jo, his nickname at daycare and now what he refers to himself as!!), played ball (Hudson is so excited he can catch the balls all on his own now!!), and blew bubbles. We can't wait for Daddy to get done building the BIG playset Grandma bought Hudson so he can climb around, swing until his little heart desires, and go down the big slide! It's so fun to see our little boy growing up and running around on his own! It happens too fast!

Tummy Time- Shmummy Time

Paxton: Finally, I outsmarted my Mommy! Everyday she makes me do tummy time, and not once has she ever asked me if I wanted to. If she did, I would have told her NO!! It's not fun or easy holding this head up, keeping it steady so it doesn't go smashing down, face first into my blanket. So today, finally, she put me on my tummy, I lifted myself up, and PLOP.....I rolled right over!!! Used all my might and muscles! No more tummy time for this guy! Just try me Mommy!
