Sibley Park

Daddy and Mommy took the boys to Sibley Park, along with Grandma and Sheri. Once again Hudson loved all the animals, wanting to get close enough to kiss them! And certainly couldn't slow down long enough for a picture.

Brown County Fair

Animals, rides, and food....oh my!!! We went to the Brown County Fair today, for 6 hours!!!! I never would have imagined we could stay that long, but Hudson loved every minute of it, and Paxton was the best baby ever!!
Hudson checked out all the animals.
And surprisingly, LOVED all the rides, a million times over!! I would guess he literally rode at least 30 times....really!!!
And lucky Paxton shared ice cream with Mommy, to get the perfect chocolate goatee!
There was no stopping Hudson and Alec from going on ride after ride!
When it was over, Hudson would just say, "Now put me on the blue car next. Then the green one, then the yellow one."
This horse loved to be pet so softly, right on his nose.
Paxton got comfy in his stroller for a little nap.
And what's a fair without mini donuts!?!?! A favorite of Hudsy's.

Happy Face

Who wouldn't love seeing this face when you walk into the room!?!??! His happiest faces are for his Mommy.

"H is for Hudsy"

We snuck outside in the earlier morning before the humidity got too bad. Hudson and I colored the sidewalks with chalk. I like to draw pictures and have him tell me what they are. A little quiz. I'm always surprised at what he knows, and this morning I was very surprised when he knew the letter "H", and then followed it up with saying, "H is for Hudsy". Such a smart boy! But he still took time to pick and smell the flowers. And Paxton took time to eat his toe-toes! What a sweetheart!

Kids Fishing Contest

It was the annual kids fishing contest today and Hudson participated and fished for his first time ever!! Boy was Daddy proud and grinning from ear to ear for the entire 3 hours! And they even caught fish!!! With Hudson's fishing rod, a Toy Story rod from his Daddy. Hudson reeled them in, poked it with his finger, and then told Mommy it was icky and he needed a wipe. So he's not quite the fisherman Daddy hopes he'll one day be! He did enjoy playing with the worms, and making 2 worms out of 1 by ripping them in half. Paxton enjoyed sitting in the shade with Mommy, doing our best not to melt in the heat and humidity. He even got to indulge in a juice box to stay cool!

Mommy and her boys.
Daddy teaching his son how to hold his first fishing rod.
Hudsy reeled it in and caught a fish!!! The first of many!
And Happy Golden Birthday to Cousin Morgan! Hudson thanks you for the frosting....I mean cake!

"The Look"

Don't make this guy mad or you'll most certainly be getting this look! It usually comes out when he asks to have a snack for the 20th time that day and Mommy says no. I get this look with a very devilish, low-pitched "Yes Mommy". Which I follow with a low-pitched "No Hudsy", and we continue with this until our voices can't go any lower and we're laughing together at how silly we sound. And all of this usually leads me to give in to that snack! The look also comes out when he's trying to convince you that "bumbieball" is a word. We go back and forth, arguing that it is not a word. He is so convincing though that Jamie had to look it up!!! And just an FYI, it's NOT!

After Dark....

Around 8:30pm, it was finally bareable to be outside, so we headed out for a bit. Paxton enjoyed a late supper on the deck (notice his, "Did you have to stop feeding me just to take a stupid picture?" face, and he was eating carrots!!), and Hudson flew around on the trampoline with Daddy. Go away heat and humidity, we want to play!!!

Meeting a new friend......

We went to meet Roddy and Anna's new baby girl, Kaybrie Melzer tonight. Hudson was surprisingly smitten with her. He kissed her more than once, rubbed her head, gave her gentle hugs, and helped Mommy hold her. He doesn't show his brother half that much affection. Must be because she's a girl. Maybe he wants a sister??
Hudson snuggling up to Kaybrie by Anna.
With the new big brother, Kamden. He's 15 months old. And my apologies for Hudson's lovely face! This silly smile has just got to be phase!!
And big, big brother Brayden, and Kaybrie again!

Little Weasel

I've been wondering how my little baby ends up in the kitchen after I know I buckled him into his seat......and then I caught him in the act! I was amazed at how quickly he figured out just how to escape without a scratch! I'm afraid normal baby proofing tactics won't even work with this one!

Making History....

For the first time in Logan's life, she changed a poopy diaper!! And it was a doozy!! I told her if it was a bad one I'd take over but she was determined to do it. She kept telling herself "Its just mud, its just very warm mud!". Then asked, "Do you use like 12 wipes?" She said she'd need lots more practice before she has babies of her own or she'll go broke buying wipes!! Good job Logie! Paxton is proud!

Hudson's old is Paxton's new

Every so often I bring out one of Hudson's baby toys for Paxton. To him they are like new. Poor little guy doesn't even realize he gets all of Hudson's used stuff. He loves them just the same! And Hudson proves that you're never too big for baby toys!!

Lots of friends......

Hudson had lots of friends over today for a playdate! Meredith brought Brody and Brenley, and Jenny brought her nieces; Afton and Brogan. The kids and babies had lots of fun playing inside and out.
Brody hauling around Afton and Hudson.
Brody and Hudson jumping, showing off their tricks from gymnastics.
Paxton was telling Brogan he'd play with her but he's strictly a one woman man and always held on tight to Brenley.
Brenley really appreciated that. She wasn't jealous at all.
Love is in the air.......

Bathtub Love

Hudson seems to have come around to kind of liking his little brother. He asks me to put him on the floor so he can play with him, and then demands that I leave them alone and sit on the couch. He also offers more hugs and kisses. Thankfully Paxton was safely secured in his seat or he may have drowned from all of Hudson's lovin'!! It started with a sweet kiss, then a slobbery one in return, and then some serious squeezes!

Try not to pay attention to where his hand is placed.....just to his sweet face!!!! BOYS!?!?!?!?

At Lincoln Park.....

Trying to decide just how far under the water he'd have to go in order to get the sunken truck??? Hudson went down the slide about 40 times, literally! On his butt and on his tummy! And without Mommy catching him! He was a little dare-devil, which is out of character for him lately!
Cannot wait to get that stick into his mouth!
Always have to snack! Hudson, Carson, and Alec.

A little Illinois and Tennessee at home......

Dana watching over Paxton on the deck.
Uncle Bill walked the entire yard with Hudson while he drove his trucks. Telling him he should pick up some chicks!
And Sandi loved up on Paxton, and almost took him to Illinois with her!
WE MISS YOU ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love you!

New Problem......

With Hudson we have his "not so cute" smile, and with Paxton we have his "always pointing straight up" tongue....but now we have a new, somewhat more unattractive problem....this face! And this is actually a slightly cuter version of the face. It gets worse, a little more scrunched up with a snorting sound!!! Please Lord, hear my prayers, let this be a short-lived phase!!

A priceless profile!

We wish it was under better circumstances, but we got to spend time with our family from Illinois and Tennessee again. Bill, Sandi, and Dana came in to Minnesota on Saturday and Hudson was more than excited to see them again!
