Christmas Card Outtakes

Whoops!
My personal favorite!
Supposed to be a kiss. Not sure what really happened?
Certain no one wanted to see this face on their Christmas card!
Hold your brother nice, please!
They look thrilled don't they!?!?

Monday Night Football

Daddy loves to have company over when he's watching the Vikings so when the game got switched to Monday night, he was quick to plan his little get together. Uncle Lon, Ditty, Hunter, and Grandpa came over to watch the Vikings lose. Hudson and Paxton don't care one bit about winning or losing, they love the company as much as Daddy does!

Leave it to Hudson to tickle his tummy with the Christmas tree!

Snow Day #2

Hudson and Daddy got up bright and early to make blueberry muffins.
Hudson took his job very seriously. And had a little fun too!
Made sure they were cool enough before.....
biting into one!!!
Paxton got in a few rounds of "The Babies".
While Hudson watched Daddy blow the snow.
Laughing at Paxton's most silly face, which gave him the new nickname--Duckbill!
A few extra tight squeezes.
A constant burning fire.A little Santa hat wearing.
Some sucker sharing between brothers.
And some play-doh playing.

And the boys all tucked in by eight o'clock.

What to do on a snowy day??

Make a tower of Christmas books and animals.
Lick the cold, snowy window.
Stand on your tippy toes to see the neighbors Christmas lights over the snow.
Eat the delicious dinner Daddy made; chicken kiev, wild rice, mashed potatoes, and corn.
Help Mommy with the dishes.
And in between all that we watched Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, Frosty the Snowman, Olive the Other Reindeer, The Santa Clause, The Santa Clause 2, and The Santa Clause 3!!!
See what we can find to do to fill the snow day tomorrow.......

Is anyone looking???

Paxton's favorite thing......taking down all the books!!

Presents by mail....

Uncle Bill, Aunt Sandi, Dana, and Mark sent Hudson and Paxton a thoughtful and heartfelt Christmas gift.......all the way from Illinois (and Tennessee!). Hudson was so excited to get a present in the mail, he ripped right into it!
It is the story of "The Night Before Christmas" and its read by Bill, Sandi, Dana, and Mark. As soon as Hudson opened and heard, he yelled "That's Dana, Mommy!" He remembers your voices, and now he can listen to you every day.
Hudson took over the present, leaving Paxton with only the card and a few pieces of wrapping paper....but he didn't mind one bit!

Thank you for such a wonderful gift! We love you guys, and miss you so much! We hope you have a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year too!

Santa Hats

Thank you for the Santa hats Grandpa!!! Every year since Hudson's 1st Christmas, Grandpa has boughten some sort of musical Christmas toy. The first year it was a singing puppy, second year it was a singing penguin, and this year, 2 musical Santa hats....and the boys love them!!!!! Paxton wasn't thrilled with wearing it, but he sure likes to dance to it!
"Mom, why are you taking pictures of me at 6 o'clock in the morning before daycare? Really?"

"The Babies"

I've mentioned before how much Hudson and Paxton like the Baby Einstein movie "Baby's First Moves", otherwise known as "The Babies" at our house. It has become somewhat of a savior for me. Don't judge. Hudson will glance at it in between playing toys, but Paxton will sit through the movie in it's entirety, all 32 minutes! Sometimes even longer since I figured out it has a "repeat play" option. This is enough time for me to get dinner ready for the boys, and then afterwards, eat dinner myself! I peak in from time to time and usually find Paxton quietly staring up at the babies reaching, sitting, crawling, standing, or walking. Thank you Baby Einstein! How could I ever repay you!?!

Hockey Game

We went to Declyn's hockey game tonight and as soon as we walked into the arena, Hudson remembered there was a concession stand that sold suckers! He specifically said, "There will be suckers right over THERE!!!" and ran up to order his sucker! "I want a sucker in my favorite color, please" he said, and the man replied, "Let me guess, that's blue?" "Yup!" Hudson said.

Happy St. Nick's Day

St. Nick stopped by the Johnson house today and brought the boys wonderful gifts! And even amongst the toys, Hudson's favorite was still the candy canes.

This afternoon we went to meet St. Nick at the high school. Jamie was laughing because Hudson just told St. Nick he'd like some cheese and crackers!

The Nordby's

The entire Nordby family came over to visit. The kids had a blast playing! Hudson was excited all day waiting for Brody, and couldn't wait to give Brenley her birthday presents.
Brenley telling Paxton he shouldn't have that in his mouth, silly boy! Paxton could hardly tear his eyes away from his movie "Babies" to play with his friends.

Up & Down

Paxton's favorite past time is crawling up and down the steps! He loves it and thinks its the funniest thing. And even better when Big Brother crawls up and down with him. Then they hide upstairs and wait for Mommy to come find them, which isn't hard because they're laughing like crazy!

He slides down on his tummy, giggling the whole way!

Hudson thought.....

Paxton getting stuck.....
in this toy......
was HILARIOUS!!!

What is it......

about this laundry shoot that is so fascinating??
