Valentine's for Mommy

Daddy and Hudsy went to the grocery store today and Hudsy walked into the house with this balloon and said "Happy Valentine's Day Mommy" and melted my heart. Paxton really likes the balloon too. Notice his wet shirt from Hudsy's squirting :)

Early Valentine's

It was Valentine's Day for the boys from the Ahlness' today.
Paxton enjoying his V-day card from his Godmother Logie.
And his new piano!!
Singing into the microphone. He has a beautiful voice!
And Hudson loves his "squirter" from Ditty!! Had to try it out before bath time! He was squirting Logie and Pax.
And then Mommy!!!!! He got me (and the camera!) good!!

Another sick day......

My 2 boys stayed home sick today with Mommy. Hudsy has a fever and a cough. Took him to the doctor and so far, he's a-okay. Just a cold. Despite being sick, we still had a fun day, and the boy still loves his tattoos!!
And this little boy is still battling with his ears. Looks like the beginning on another ear infection, or the ending of his last one....who knows? But he's on an antibiotic again and we're likely going to schedule tubes soon. This is one of my favorite faces that he makes, so innocent and sweet.
P.S. I just noticed this is my 1000th post!!!

Paxton goes to school....

Paxton had his first session of ECFE tonight and he did GREAT!!! He took no time to warm up and walked right in, smiled at new friends, played toys, and did some crafts. Mommy was SO, SO PROUD!!

Making his Monster face with stickers and crayons.

He was most excited for snack! He looked so little sitting on that chair all by himself (he's the second youngest in the class). I was concerned he'd get sad without Mommy but he never even turned around to look for me.And just like Hudson always was, Paxton was the last child sitting at the snack table. Asking for more, and more, and more!!
My little boy is growing up so fast.

Can you feel the love??

I CAN!! In the last month, Hudson has done a complete turn around with his baby brother! Don't get me wrong, we still have our share of "brother vs. brother" moments, and Paxton has learned to fight back a bit, but for the most part, Hudson is kind to his brother. He asks him to play, wants to share with him, and extends gestures of love such as hugs and kisses out of the blue (and when asked to). I love this side of my boys!
They dance like crazy in the toy room to silly music. Hudson asked if Baby Brother could dance to just one more song before bedtime.
Paxton is so happy when Hudson includes him.

sWiMmInG

We took BOTH boys swimming this afternoon, and Logie and Carson came along too.
Hudson flying down the slide. He went under the water today for the first time. ALL the way under! Held his breath, plugged his nose, and closed his eyes. He was very proud! And so were we!
Paxton never wanted to let go of that ball!
Pax LOVED swimming!!! He had a small tantrum when the lifeguards blew the whistle for break time. He was a little fishie!

Sledding again.....

Today, Daddy blew the snow in the driveway and took the boys sledding in our own front yard. We have a little hill on our driveway and it was perfect for the boys to go down on their sleds, and on their own!!
Even head first, which was Hudsy's favorite!
Even Paxton got to go by himself!
And loved every minute!
They took a turn together. Hudsy held on tight to his baby brother. Who yes, was in socks! We hadn't planned on him going in the sled but he so badly wanted to.

SleDdiNg!!!

All 4 of us went to a sledding hill and had fun in the snow!
Paxton enjoyed a little "snow snack". As Hudson "splashed" the snow in the background.
Getting ready to go down the big hill!! Hudson thought he needed his glasses because the snow was so very bright. I never thought he'd keep them on, but he did, the whole time!
Paxton's turn down the hill with Daddy. He kept his eyes closed the whole time!
Taking a break halfway up the big hill. Mommy was pooped out!
When we got home Hudson hadn't had enough yet, so Pax took a nap and we played in the backyard. He loved it so much! Got his whole body full of snow! And he couldn't stop laughing whenever he tried to walk!
Hudsy loved sliding into the snow!

Movie/Snuggle Night

Mommy, Daddy, and Hudson had a movie night and snuggled in our bed. We watched A Bug's Life (Hudson's choice) and ate popcorn. Hudson got to sleep with us too because his room is being painted. Hudson slept great, Mommy and Daddy on the other hands got smacked and/or kicked all night! Jamie said he got woken up 10 times, I told him I beat that by about 20 :)
Isn't this a good looking family......HA!!!

All about Pax....

Paxton had an appointment with the ear specialist today. He did SUCH a good job! Mommy was amazed and proud! He never cried once, even when they held him down and put his arms over his head. The final decision is up to us. The doctor said it's likely he'll continue to get ear infections but they haven't done any damage to his ear drums and can be treated. I almost wish the doctors would just make the decision for us, much easier. Mommy took the rest of the afternoon off and spent some time with just Pax! :)

Hudson found MORE glasses....

And he thought Paxton should join in on the "let's pretend its summer outside" fun!

WARNING: Weirdo below!!!

Hudson found these sunglasses from when he was a baby and has been wearing them around the house. He's such a goofy kid!
Really goofy!

Smiles again!

It's so good to see this smiling, happy face again! He's finally starting to feel better, although still pulling at his ears so I'm sure they are still infected, the symptoms are just subsiding from the antibiotic. We go in to see the ENT on Thursday to discuss our options, likely tubes just like his big brother.

CHUNK

Hudson loves Chunk from Toy Story 3. He sleeps with him every night. Certainly not the softest of snuggle buddies! And every night he asks if Chunk will be happy or mad, then gives his best happy and mad faces, which are both priceless.....
