Johnson Christmas

We went to Grandma Sharon's house on Saturday to celebrate Christmas with the Johnson side. The boys had fun as usual, playing with all of their cousins and opening presents! I asked for one nice picture with them, and because Daddy said, "Look who has boogies in their nose" to try and get them to look at him, Paxton was prompted to put his finger in his own nose and find his boogies!

Paxton got a new laptop from the Flitters and he loves it!
Daddy played Wii Just Dance and gave us all a good laugh!

Pax got in on it too. He loves to dance! He tried so hard to get the moves right.

Seeing Santa- Take 2

Paxton said he was willing to see Santa again so Mom and Dad took them out. With the promise of getting a candy cane after you sit on Santa's lap, Paxton knew he had to be brave and he didn't cry! Surprisingly, he even talked to Santa! Hudson told him he wanted the Pop-a-Pig game and a gun that shoots darts! May I add that these are both toys that I don't think "Santa" knew Hudson wanted and "Santa" thought he was done getting Hudson toys up until this visit. I think this should be the last time we see Santa until next year! When Santa asked Paxton what he wanted, Paxton first replied with his usual, "Huh, what?" But then said he'd like a tractor and a baby. I hope the baby that will be arriving in May counts as his Christmas gift :)

If you noticed the bright yellow Spongebob band-aid on Paxton's head, he had a little run in with a Christmas decoration. A sign fell right on top of his head, causing a small gash, and he will NOT let anyone take that band-aid off!

Baby belly so far....

8 weeks

12 weeks
16 weeks

18 weeks

I'm growing much faster and bigger than I did with the boys, but I'm just attributing that to the "3rd baby syndrome"......right?!?!? Everything happens a little quicker. But we we are doing well. I feel her kicking and moving everyday. We have the ultrasound at the hospital on Monday. Jamie can't come with because he'll be working out of town, so my mom will join me.

Sheri's Tree

The boys were a bit fascinated by Sheri's tree, especially all the snow! Hudson was tempted to touch each and every ornament he could reach, and examine and ask questions about the nativity scene underneath. I asked the boys to pose by the tree for a "nice" picture, maybe hold hands or hug, and this is as good as it got.....

Babysitting Bayler

We had the priviledge of watching Baby Bayler on Sunday afternoon. He was an ANGEL! Never made a peep, except for what I thought were little giggles. The boys loved him and gave him all sorts of attention! Especially Paxton, who thought he just HAD to have his da-do (pacifier)!!

All the boys snuggled together. I should mention that no babies were harmed in these photos....I promise!
See, I think Bayler even cracked a smile for all that loving attention!

It was an Ahlness Christmas....

When the Ahlnesses brought over the boys' Christmas gifts this weekend, I knew they wouldn't last long wrapped! And it was about....10 seconds!

Paxton got excited when he saw Elmo!!
Thank you Ahlness family! The gumball machine is a hit! And Hudson has been sleeping with Llama, Llama ever since. Come over with your change anytime!

Live Nativity

Last night we went headed to Springfield to watch the Live Nativity with Grandma Sharon and the Flitters. We bundled up and snuggled together.

Afterwards, the kids got to pet the animals, and this baby goat was the favorite....until it pooped!

Hard Work

The boys have been working hard at daycare learning new things, writing, art activities and singing songs. Everyday, Hudson brings home a worksheet of something he learned or some homework to practice at home.

This week they made Christmas books, "Little Elf, Little Elf", and we love reading them!

Hudson is learning to recognize numbers and did this worksheet to practice. He drew the number of ornaments in each tree. He was proud of himself, and so was Mommy!

2011 Holiday Train

The boys, Grandma, and myself were lucky enough to go on the Holiday Train this year! Thanks to our cousins for giving us family tickets. Hudson commented that he wanted to stay on the train FOREVER, and Paxton enjoyed waving at all the people watching as the train drove from Springfield to New Ulm.

Hudson was excited to see Santa and get a candy cane.
And so grateful that he even gave him a brave hug! Not Paxton though, he was tucked tightly in Mommy's arms.

But he did get pretty comfortable on the train.

And they enjoyed cookies, and their first ever taste of hot chocolate! But if you ask Paxton, he drank "coffee".

And the train was lit up beautifully.

St. Nick's Day

Happy St. Nick's Day to everyone! We understand many, if not most people don't celebrate today, but in this family, it's another day to give presents and be thankful. And it's tradition!! The boys celebrated this weekend because Mommy was smart enough to know that opening gifts on a daycare morning would take far too long. I never would have made it to work!

I love watching Hudson open presents. He wonders what each gift could be and is genuinely surprised when he finds out.

This cute snowman stacker was a huge hit! But Hudson's face leaves something to be desired.
Paxton got a new "Best Ever Big Brother" book.

Grandma brought presents over today. Isn't that expression just like the one Grandma gave a few days ago?!?!?! All all for Andes mints!
Paxton loved his new Elmo shirt.

Visiting St. Nick

We went to see St. Nick tonight at the annual dance recital. It was packed so we had to sit in front so the boys could see the cute little girls dancing....while waiting for St. Nick to come out.

Hudson wanted to pose by the HUGE Christmas tree and then see how little he looked.

We thought for sure Paxton would cry for St.Nick like he did for Santa, but he was a brave boy and walked right up to him, took the candy cane, and even said "thank you". I think maybe the peer pressure of having his friends; Bryn, Bubbie, and Natalie watching gave him a little extra courage.

Sunday...on our own...

Today, we spent the morning outside in the snow; sledding, shoveling, and attempting to make snowballs. The boys had so much fun! They loved sledding down the driveway, especially on their tummies!

Oh, did they laugh!

Pax especially liked rolling off the sled into the snow!
And my sweet boy wanted to help Mommy shovel. I think he might be stronger than me!

We had a lot of chilly fun!

Saturday...on our own...

Daddy is gone hunting again this week so the boys and I were on our own. We tried to keep busy indoors, while the snow piled up outside. First we baked some reindeer cookies....

Then we made Grandma and Daddy a welcome home sign (Grandma is gone shopping until Monday).....
And later the boys just HAD to watch Mommy make supper (vegetable fried rice- a favorite by all!). We have another whole day to keep busy on our own tomorrow!

Grandma's Best Birthday EVER!

Hudson helping Grandma open the greatest birthday present she's ever gotten....the news that she's finally getting a granddaughter! Isn't her expression priceless!

Adding to the Johnsons....

The Johnson family is growing!!! We're expecting our 3rd baby in May 2012. We've been holding this news hostage for awhile now and its great to finally get it out! Hudson is excited and understands that there's a baby in Mommy's tummy. He asks to see my belly every once in awhile, and notices it getting bigger. Paxton doesn't have a clue as to what's going on.

And if that's not enough news to share.......we know it's a GIRL!!!!! I was sneaky and got the ultrasound on my mom's birthday, hoping to surprise her with her first granddaughter! Amazingly it worked out perfect! Below is a picture of her "lady parts". You are looking at it from the bottom up, of her butt and 2 legs going out. The ultrasound technician was sure its a girl, and said he'd owe us $100 if he was wrong....and he's never been wrong!

I'll post more belly pictures, and pictures of the big reveal soon.
