36 weeks

36 weeks (and 1 day)

We started a countdown for baby sister because the boys were asking when she was coming, how many more days. So they take turns crossing out each day. As of today, we're down to 20!

Baby's Room

Baby's room was a project that took a few days and a few family members to help, but we did it, its finished, and I LOVE IT!!!! Last night before bed, I told Jamie I was just going to go sit in it for awhile, and he looked at me, knowing not to make fun of me while 9 months pregnant, he smiled and said okay. I still can't quite believe we'll be bringing a little girl home to ths room. I documented the process in pictures...

Grandma starting the painting.

Jamie did a wonderful job with the stripes! He made my vision come to life!
These 3- Arnie, Jamie, and Grandpa put their heads and muscles together and got all the furniture into the room. What you can't see are the 3 cans of beer that motivated their work sitting on the window sill.

Those muscles at work.

What would we do without Arnie?!? A man of many talents!

And the beginning of the finished product.......

Baby already loves her brothers, displaying their pictures.

And her name is.........

I can't wait to bring her home to her beautiful, perfect room. Meant just for her.

Easter 2012

Easter was a busy day with the bunny coming to our house, going to Grandma Sharon's for dinner and the first egg hunt of the day, then back to our house for a second egg hunt, to Ditty's for Easter supper, Hunter and Logie's birthdays, and the third and final egg hunt!

The bunny brought just what Hudson had been asking for- pillow racers and color changing spoons.

They were very excited about their pillow racers!

And an Angry Birds blanket for Hudsy.
They've been zooming around the house ever since!

Pax had a little extra help from Morgan for the egg hunt at Grandma Sharon's.

Uncle Lon, Hunter, Pax and Logie.

And a little hot tubbin' to end the day!

Paxton looked like a floating head!

Easter Egg Dying

The boys dyed Easter eggs tonight; a few cracked, a couple dropped on the floor, and only 8 survived. Hudson enjoyed getting his hands dirty and I'm afraid they will be green for days. He could never be done with an egg, kept putting them in for more and more coloring!

Paxton liked to stir his eggs. (He insisted he had an owie on his cheek and needed an Angry Birds band-aid, even though we never found a scratch!) Cutest, sparkliest Easter bunnies- Paxton and Hunter

Way of the Cross

Hudson is learning alot at preschool about Jesus (probably already more than I know!) and talks about him quite a bit; that he makes everything- the clouds, the sun, the rain, that Mary was his mom, and that he died on the cross. So I thought he'd really enjoy walking the Way of the Cross. He did- looking at every statue, telling us what happened (or his own version).

He was very excited to see Mary as soon as we walked in.
They found a catepillar that became Hudson's little pet, until he said his hand was itchy and Mom made him drop it! So then he gave the poor catepillar a ride in the abandoned wagon instead.

Unfortunately, the church at the end wasn't open for the season yet, so we'll have to go back again.

Happy 4th Birthday Brody!

Brody had his 4th birthday party at the Vogel on Sunday and the boys went to play their little hearts out. It was a wild party with lots of kids running and playing like crazy, but even with all the chaos, these two still love to snuggle baby Bayler.

Hudsy playing with the big parachute.
He loved being pulled around by Dad....really, really fast!
Then took his brother for a little spin.
Paxton and Brenley spent time crawling through the tunnels and peaked out on top.

Playing Duck Duck Grey Duck.

Shrine Circus 2012

We took our annual trip to the Shrine Circus in St. Paul. This was Paxton's first trip with us and he enjoyed the cirucs the most. In awe of the animals and acts, waving at everyone passing by. (Hudson said he bought that butterfly wand for his baby sister, and he later picked out a sword for himself.)

Pax and Dad laughed at the people flying through the air into the nets.
Hudsy with the same clown we meet every year. Pax was only a fan of the clowns from a distance.

And I think he would've ridden an elephant if the line wasn't soooo long.

After the cirucs, we met Maddi at our hotel (thanks again Maddi!) and she brought the boys splat balls because, as Hudson would say, "she loves me SO much!".

She took us out to eat at Crave and Pax LOVED the cheese fondue!!!!! He moved the plate we were all sharing right in front of him, and eventually took over the cheese!

Back to the hotel and ready for swimming.

Logie rushed over after her softball games and joined the fun (thank you Logie, so I didn't have to get my suit on!). I think the boys jumped into the water a million times!

Hudson got braver and braver with every leap as Maddi went further and further away.

Dad tossing Paxton in the air...love that face!
