Hanska Fun!!

The family went to Hanska for their celebration; a parade and fun in the park! Logie was as pretty as ever on the Miss New Ulm float. The highlight of the parade by far! Hudson had a blast in the park, going down the slides a thousand times, and running wild with his buddy Brody! Paxton was a great baby and just happy enough hanging out in the stroller. He was so cute snuggling his giraffe, getting ready for a nap.

What's so wrong with this Mom?

Typical Hudson, typical boy!! He pushed the dining room chair right up to the wall so he could turn the lights on and off. Then when Mommy found him, he gives me this look like, "Am I doing something wrong?" with an innocent, angelic face.

Growing too fast.......

Ag Day

Hudson and I went to Ag Day at the high school today, and just in time for Logie's lunch break!! Hudsy dragged her around to every animal, a million times each! He loved petting all of them; from the huge pregnant cow to the itty bitty chicks! And the geese fooled even me......they were only decoys. I'm still not quite sure if Hudsy realized that or if he just thought they all loved him!?!?!

Love from Brother

After Hudsy adorned Paxton with stickers from head to toe, he looked at me and said "Kiss him?", and of course I said yes, baby would love kisses, and he snuggled right in! And after that, he sat on his face!!! No picture of that since I had to save my youngest baby from suffocation! What will this kid come up with next?!?!

Girls!!

Paxton was one lucky boy today when he got to snuggle with Logie and her friend Caity!

HIDING

One of Hudson's favorite things to do is HIDE!!! The bad part is that I've actually lost him in our own house! Thankfully I've learned his favorite hiding spots now and can usually find him in one of them. He loves playing hide-n-seek with Daddy, running around the house yelling, "Daddy, where are you?". And in his little mind, no one can see him as long as he has his hands over his eyes!

All wet Mommy!!!

The crazy Mommy in me asked Hudson if he wanted to help give his brother a bath, well, he dove at the chance....literally! Paxton was in his bath seat and Hudson was washing Paxton's toes with the wash cloth, but when that got boring, he decided to start a little splashing, and before long, he went head first into the bathtub! Thankfully I was right there to grab him out, and all he said was "All wet Mommy!". It was really quite the scene, but obviously with one baby in the bath and another attempting to dive in, an after shot was the only picture I could safely take!

Balance Beam

We snuck into the gymnasium at Turner Hall and with Daddy's help, Hudson walked on the balance beam. Daddy was sure to point out that this would be the only time Hudson would be practicing gymnastics!

Happy Mother's Day

I have been blessed with many things in my life, but above all, my greatest gifts are my two beautiful boys, and my mom. My boys are the light of my life, and my mom is my best friend, and today and everyday, I am so thankful for them! We had a wonderful day of lunch, play, planting flowers at the cemetery, and delicious dessert (thanks to Aunt Sheri!). But the highlight of it all was seeing Grandma's face when she walked through the door and Hudson handed her flowers and said "Happy Mother's Day" in his adorable little voice!

Daddy's Boat

Daddy bought a new boat and Hudson liked checking everything out. He quickly learned how to run the radio, turn the steering wheel, pick up the oar, and spin the seat! Thankfully it was all on dry land!

Temperature......

Today, I was unloading the dishwasher and Hudson comes running in and says "Baby Brother sick." I told him no, that the baby wasn't sick, and he quickly ran back into the living room. A little while later I heard a beeping noise, so I snuck in to find Hudson taking Paxton's temperature, with the thermometer up his arm sleeve! When he seen me he said, "Baby Brother temperature." I laughed and said I didn't realize baby was sick, and then he told me, "Yea, medicine now." Everyday that boy amazes me. It's incredible how much he absorbs and learns from us!

Johnson's + Nordby's

We watched Brody and Brenley again today! It's hard to call it babysitting when we all have so much fun together! Brody and Hudson have learned to play so nicely together, and shockingly, they each grabbed a book and sat down on the couch and read together! Without any prompting from me at all! They can still be silly monkeys though too! Paxton and Brenley were as sweet as ever. And both of them got my undivided attention while the other was napping and I think they each loved our special time as much as I did!

Melting Mommy's Heart..............

A little background before the story.....when Hudson and Paxton need some comforting, are tired, sad, or crying, I hold them and say "Mommy's got you" so they feel better.....so tonight, I was making supper in the kitchen and Paxton started crying in the living room. Hudson said to me, "Baby crying Mommy." I told him he should go talk to him and make him feel better. So Hudsy goes running into the living room and I hear him say to Paxton, "It's okay Baby Brother. Mommy got you." Awe, tears came to my eyes!!! My sweet, sweet boy!

Cereal and Stats

4 months old brings a doctor visit and cereal!! And surprisingly, Paxton LOVED his cereal!!! His sad face was in between bites, I couldn't spoon it in fast enough! Hudson kept saying, "Baby Brother more icky cereal Mommy!" I told him the cereal was icky because he wanted some too.
We also went in for his 4 month well baby check and he is a healthy growing boy! He weighs 14 lbs. 8 ozs (37th%) and is 25 1/4 inches (58th%). In comparison to Hudson at 4 months, Paxton is a little skinnier and a little taller. Since Paxton got a high fever after his last vaccinations, our doctor suggested we separate them out this time, getting one today, and then one every week for the NEXT 3 WEEKS!! I am not excited about it, and if Paxton could talk, I'm sure he'd say he isn't either. He did a great job today though, not even crying for his first shot. The doctor said Paxton must take after his big brother in being so brave and cooperative for her. My boys sure do make me proud! I consider myself a very lucky Mommy.

Smiles for Dad

Unfortunately, this is one of the few smiles Paxton gives his Daddy. He's a big mama's boy, but he still loves playing with Daddy when he lifts him way up high!

Fish Fry

Hudson: We had a little fish fry on Sunday night, Grandpa and Arnie came over to eat Daddy's yummy fishies. Mommy had the great idea of deep frying green beans and they were a delicious hit! And she says since they're a vegetable, they're good for us, even if they are deep fried! I think she's making up excuses for eating a big pile!!

Little Brother

Paxton wore a "Little Brother" shirt so we tried our best to get a picture of the boys together. Surprisingly, Hudson actually wanted to hold his brother, and didn't even try to push him off when he was done. He gave him some hugs, kisses, and then played drums on his head! And Paxton just sat patiently through it all. These two boys melt my heart!

PROM 2010

Gorgeous beyond words.......
Logie and her godson, Paxton.....
Maddi and Hudson snuggling......
Tonight was Logie's senior prom and she was beyond beautiful! Hudson was even speechless, and if you know Hudson, that is almost unbelieveable! And because Maddi begged me to bring Hudson with to the Grand March, she got to take care of him there! And she did a great job.....with gummy bears and M&Ms!!

Another Circus

Daddy and I took Hudson to the circus in New Ulm. We seen tigers, lions, puppies, camels, and elephants. Hudson even took a ride on the horsey, which meant Mommy got to walk next to him....in the horsey's potty! And even more exciting, the first thing Hudson told Grandma he seen at the circus was the elephant pooping!! Oh, the memories!!

Carson's Bday

We celebrated Carson's 7th birthday at Happy Joe's tonight. Hudson enjoyed playing the games, and Daddy enjoyed it even more! And Paxton, he just enjoys being held. Grandma was on duty tonight!

Daddy-Son Time

Daddy and Hudson had fun running around at Logie's softball game. I always say Jamie is just a big 30 year old kid!

Just Because.....

It's rare to get a genuine smile caught on camera from this handsome little boy!

4 Months Old

Our little baby boy Paxton Hunter turned 4 months old yesterday. He's still a Mama's Boy, so if you ask me, I'll tell you he's an angel, but if you ask Daddy he'll give you a slightly different answer. He has rolled over in every direction. He loves watching TV. Last night he watched Avatar with me (because my husband fell asleep 20 minutes in). He loves getting his diaper changed. He loves getting kissed and giggles! He still sleeps in the bassinet crib next to Mommy but I said once he's 4 months I'd move him into his own room......but I don't want to. I love watching him sleep! He goes to the doctor on May 4th, excited to see how much he's grown!
