Wild Goose Chase

We pulled into a parking lot and Daddy pointed out this flock of geese to Hudson who then yelled, "Honkers!". He chased after them as fast as he could yelling, "Wanna touch one." And "Hey, wait up!" Unfortunately, his fast wasn't fast enough, but he got dang close.

The end to Logan's reign......

It was the Firemen's Dance Saturday night and Logie passed down her crown. We enjoyed her year of festivals and parades. I think Hudson will forever think parades are just for Logie! You'll always be a princess to us Logs!
Hudson checked out all the pretty girls and made his pick for the queen.
Hudson made fast friends with Logie's boyfriend, Dominique. Giving Mommy goofy faces.
Laughing at silly Arnie.

Paxton couldn't quite make it and had to take a little cat nap.

Grandma and Hudson once again danced their hearts out! Poor Hudson never wanted to leave.

In the tote......

Sheri always brings down lots of toys for the boys to play with when we're at her house. But like any typical kid, my boys have the most fun with a plastic tote!
Paxton going in for the kill.........
And he's got him!
Both boys were laughing their heads off, swinging in the air by Logie and Hunter!

Vikings Chair

With the football season kicking off tonight, Hudson's Vikings chair made it's way back into the living room. Paxton was more than happy snuggling in with Hudson, but as you can tell, his big brother wasn't quite as excited. Eventually he gave in and just let Paxton have the chair to himself. I don't think Paxton minded a bit. He looks awfully comfy in his OWN chair!

"No, no Paxton!"

Just like last year with Hudson, we are teaching Paxton that the fire is "hot" and he can't go onto the tile. I'm actually surprised at how well he is listening and seems to be catching on. He turns right around when we say, "No, no Paxton!", and stops right at the edge.

Johnson's Park

Instead of walking to the park, today we just walked out our back door and played in our own little park. Paxton loves swinging as much as Hudson always has! His smile is so big he shows off his 2 bottom teeth. And Hudson made it all the way up the rock climbing wall for the first time. And then of course had to do it again and again!

First Day......

This tired little boy went to his very first day of daycare today, and Mommy went back to work. Paxton did a great job! No tears or even sad faces, just crawled right in to look around. It didn't go quite as smoothly for Hudson and Mommy. We both had tears. But just like Paxton, we got a good report from daycare that Hudson got over it pretty quickly and had a fun day full of macaroni & cheese, toys, and friends! I'm expecting another rough start tomorrow morning but hopefully we'll all fall into our new routine soon. I miss these boys all day long. As soon as we got home, we jumped in the stroller and walked to the park. After a day away from eachother, our little blabber mouth Hudson had LOTS to talk about and blabbed the whole way to and from the park! I missed his silly stories!

French/Montemurno Wedding

It was my cousin Jenna's wedding on Saturday at the New Ulm Country Club. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful! And we all had a wonderful time spent with family.
A rare family picture.
Mom & HudHudson with cousins, Alec and Aiva.
Hudson was ready to eat!
And so was Paxton!
Hudson danced his little heart out with Grandma! They BOTH loved it!
Hudson and the 3 girls; Hunter, Maddi, and Logan.
Paxton snuggled in with Logie and watched all the crazy dancers.

Professional Pics

We had the boys' pictures taken by Swaddlebee Photography at Schell's Brewery. She was the same photographer that came to the house when Paxton was a newborn.

"Do a mohawk Ditty."

And the only thing that could get Hudsy to leave the park was knowing he was going to get his haircut at "Ditty's house". Just look at how serious he takes his "cute hair". He walked right in there, climbed up on that chair and said, "Do a mohawk Ditty. And I want a sucker." I will never tire of watching my big boy get his hair cut.

"Park Mommy?"

Poor Hudson is so used to Mommy telling him that its too hot to go outside, that this morning he asked, "Is it hot outside today Mommy?" and I replied that it wasn't hot out, and with the biggest smile ever he asked, "Then you wanna go outside today Mommy?" So out we went! And when he tired of that, he asked, "You wanna walk to the park Mommy?" Of course!

And he never ate a single pebble!!

Life with Boys

After running around the house a million times chasing eachother, Jamie holding a bobbing, laughing Paxton, they all crashed onto the living room floor. Only to rest a bit before getting up for more! Mommy watched from the couch!

Couldn't quite reach......

Our little monkey wanted a toy on the end table so he just decided to climb up the diaper caddy and grab it himself!

One Last Swim

We headed out to Flandrau for our last time this summer. Hudson and Paxton enjoyed most of the afternoon in this little homemade pool by Auntie Sheri. It was perfect size!

Strange Kid......

There's obviously something about this dinosaur ride at the State Fair that makes Hudson want to ride with his arm behind the seat???? Weirdo!

MN State Fair 2010

We braved the heat and the crowds to go the Minnesota State Fair on Friday. Both boys enjoyed all the sights and food! Hudson's favorites were mini donuts and frozen mango lemonade push-up. Paxton's were french fries, Dippin' Dots, and frozen lemonade. We missed Daddy at the fair this year, he was home sick. But somehow we still managed to have lots of fun! ;)
Thank you to the Nordby's for borrowing us their side-by-side stroller! It worked out great!
Hudson was more than excited to see SpongeBob at the fair!
And he loved the merry-go-round!
Wasn't quite as sure about these noisy motorcycles but still tried them out.
But his favorite was the Giant Slide! We went down twice. I overheard the kids behind us counting the steps as we went up.....90 of them! Picture me, holding a 2 year old and an itchy mat, climbing 90 steps, in 90 degree heat, between about 90 people!!
LOVING their frozen push-ups!!!!! They both finished them on their own!
Hudson pet all the animals!
Shane and Paxton. He says he's ALMOST as cool as Hudson!
