In the field...

Grandpa called and asked if the boys wanted to drive in the field with him and they both jumped with excitement! Mommy and Harlow stayed home and Grandma took the boys out. Paxton is such a big talker, always saying how much he wants to ride in Papa's tractors, but when he got to the field, he chickened out, so Hudsy got the tractor and Grandpa all to himself.

Naptime

Harlow is a great daytime napper! She sleeps most of the day away, and really, in anything we put her in. She's napped in every piece of furniture she has in the living room....
The rock n' play sleeper-
 The swing-
 And the nap nanny-

Hangin' with the Ahlnesses

Logie and Vicky- ooo and ah over Harlow.
With a couple kisses for her.
She squeezed Uncle Lon's finger tight. And he calls her Harley.
Maddi did some arts and crafts with the boys.
Hudson is very proud of his ice cream cone made with Presto Dots. He and I made some more animal creatures today. Easy, clean fun for everyone! Highly recommended by Mommy.
Maddi snuggled with Harlow. She's a baby hog while she's here because she doesn't get to see the kids as often as the rest of the family.
And Zevie played his heart out with the boys. Throwing Pax up HIGH on the tramp, making Mommy's heart stop for a quick second. But he LOVED it, asking to go again and again, and even higher!
All this happened on Mother's Day. Notice no pictures of Mommy and her kids. They were far too busy with everyone else.

Maternity Pictures

A few weeks ago, I asked Marsha Jones to come and take a few pictures of me, pregnant with Harlow. I wanted to give them to my mom for Mother's Day. Despite my large belly, chubby cheeks, and huge...um...chest, they turned out beautiful. Thank you so much Marsha (Jones Photography)!

Harlow comes home....

We came home with Harlow yesterday. It's always sad for Mommy, leaving the hospital, I love it there! But we were ready to get this precious little girl home to our family.
 Daddy changing her diaper.
And putting on her "going home outfit". Along with that silly do-do (pacifier) that she has become attached to. We have about a million cute ones, even some with her name on them, but she has picked this one (so far).
All dressed and ready to go.....

Last day with that hospital bracelet.
And welcomed home by her big brothers. Hudson was rubbing her head and said to me, "She's adorable!" We all agree!!

Harlow Mae Johnson

Harlow Mae joined our family on May 8th at 8:03am. The beautiful princess weighed 7 lbs 4 ozs and is 19.5 inches long. All perfect! And all girl, still hard to believe.
She was wide awake and alert when she was born, looking right at Mama.
With little hair to work with, we had to girly her up a little bit.
Her brothers were so excited and proud to meet her! They made "I'm a Big Brother" crowns at daycare and wore them proudly. Watching them walk into the hospital room with their crowns and gifts for their sister, asking where their baby was, brought tears to everyone's eyes.
Hudson was very gentle and insisted on holding her for a looong time. When everyone else took a turn, he would say, "maybe I should hold her again now", as though Harlow already missed her big brother.
And she got lots and lots of kisses from Paxton!
 Lots and lots!
She's the perfect addition to our family.
We love you with all our hearts Harlow Mae.

39 weeks

The boys woke up this morning, excited to cross off the LAST day before their baby sister arrives. They have both LOVED crossing off days and never forgot a single time!
 Paxton had the honors.
This also marks the last day that they are just brothers, just the two of them. I will admit, I feel much better the 3rd time around, that they have each other. We have a big adjustment coming and I'm so glad they'll be keeping one another busy. They can be the best of buddies!
And we're at 39 weeks. Baby will be arriving TOMORROW!!! Stay tuned.....

After the rain....

Paxton always wants to give his baby sister kisses....
He told me he'd smile nice if I took his picture....oh yes, its lovely!
 Blowing dandelions.
Jamie has been teaching Hudson how to cast a fishing pole and he's gotten pretty good at it....but this one landed in the tree above!

Kayla's Prom

Cousin Kayla went to prom today so we just had to go see her all dressed up. It takes a very special occasion to see her in a dress, make up, and hair all dolled up! And she looked beautiful! The boys of course, were too busy playing at Grandma Sharon's house to want their picture taken, but I was able to snag just one of a not very happy Paxton.
Uncle Darby, Aunt Shelly, Kayla and her date.

Under Mommy and Daddy's covers on early morning weekends.

Carson's Bday

It was Carson's 9th birthday today! We celebrated at Happy Joe's and the boys got to take turns blowing out the candles....in between all the games of course! There were thousands of tickets won...literally! All by lucky Alec!
Casey took this adorable picture of Alec and Hudson. He'd never smile for me like that!

no nap sunday

Hudson doesn't take a nap most weekends, but today, Paxton didn't have to take one either. We jammed packed our Sunday with too much fun! First, Brody and Brenley came over to play. And for some reason, we ended up spending the playdate in the basement...different toys I suppose. New to them.

But the strangest place was in the basement shower, that I'm pretty sure has never been used.
And this afternoon, we went to the Vogel for some swimming. Paxton is a BRAVE swimmer! He was telling Daddy not to catch him and move away. Over and over again he'd say, "Let me go, just let me go!"
And he didn't care one bit if he went under!
This little guy on the other hand, is much happier in the hot tub. Complete opposites!
