eight months

Harlow is eight months old- January 8, 2013

Way too hard to get any decent pictures of her this month! Between her distaste for sitting still, runny/red nose, and blatant disregard to Mommy's persistent request that she smile...the following are as good as it got....

Bottom two teeth and top two (unsightly) fangs
Clearly she didn't give one hoot that I wanted to take her picture. She was too busy.

At eight months old.....
weight: 15 1/2 pounds (according to home scale)
length: 25 1/2 inches (but impossible to measure while she's crawling away!)
diaper size: size 2
clothes: 6 month, some 9 month
bottles: 5 oz. usually every 3 hours, sometimes less
food: eats and loves all baby food, lives for puffs, and would kill for real food (we'll try more soon)
Little things about Harlow.....
-she's way too fast, always on the go
-she can be the happiest baby ever, but if she sees me, she whines and wants me
-sitting is still not on her list of favorite things to do
-has 2 top teeth coming in (incisors) and it is not attractive, she looks like a vampire
-still gets red dots on her face due to drool, spit, and snot
-has a red nose everyday, all day
-still loves to sleep and goes to bed for naps and at night like a rockstar!
-goes to bed at 7:30/8:30pm until 5/6am, drinks a bottle, sleeps again until 8/9am
-naps twice a day, about 2 hours each
-can get puffs/melts to her mouth by herself, and will shovel them in given the chance
-can climb up steps, very unstable
-likes to be in the toy room
-favorite place to crawl to is Bella's food, pretty sure she's eaten it a couple times, yuck!
-is always pulling herself up to her feet
-still spits up and has stained everyone's clothes at least once
-sucks in her bottom lip, causing a red chin
-shakes her head "no no" and thinks its hilarious
-we put the bumper in her crib so her 10 do-dos don't fall out, she'll put them in and fall back to sleep
-knows she's naughty when she goes by the fireplace, which is often
-her hair fuzz is finally starting to come in
-she takes baths alone and crawls around the tub, playing toys and splashing
-she still loves Sophie the Giraffe
-seems to love daycare, she's all smiles when I drop her off and never cares that I leave
-if someone tries to take her from me, she swats them away
-the girl has a wardrobe to die for and will probably never wear all of the pretty clothes
-she'll probably grow up thinking her name is Sis, Sissy, or Sister

she's trouble

This little one gets herself into some trouble. She's far too mobile for her own good age. Her favorite place to go is the dog food. Unsupervised for a second and it's her afternoon snack. Her brothers are usually playing in the basement, therefore, you can find sister at the top of the steps, trying her best to get that gate open. She also likes to take all the books off of the book shelf. Drool on the impossible to clean wood floor. Never sits still for a diaper change making it extremely difficult. Swats people away if they try and take her from her mama.Trouble! As Grandma would say, "Trouble with a capital T".
But look at that troublemaker's hair grow! Practically blows in the wind. Pretty soon Mommy will be busting out the barrettes!

Good bye 2012

We rung in the New Year at Uncle Lon and Ditty's house. With family we love.
Hudsy and Paxton enjoyed a little 3D movie.
These two party animals dressed the part.
Note to self: Don't let Maddi babysit the kids alone! If they cry, she flips them upside down and gives them a good shake.
And really, how could you shake this baby?!?!
The only picture I got of this wild one, running around blowing his horn.
iPhone pictures- See, Maddi can love up on the kids too, as long as they are happy!
This boy couldn't wait for midnight when "the party starts" and he could blow his horn with purpose.
The very best of New Year's kisses!
Thank you 2012. You were good to us.

Pounding the Puffs

Harlow LOVES her some puffs, and when I let her go at them herself, she shovels them in as fast as she can. Sometimes they make it to her mouth, sometimes they don't...and when they don't, this mean mommy finds it very funny. Enjoy.

Pax is 3!!

Our middle turned THREE today...finally! Usually I feel like it happens so fast, that they don't seem that old, but for some reason, with Packy, it seems like he's been 3 forever. And even though this third year brings with it a little attitude, wild, rambunctious, and sometimes naughty behavior, I love this 3 year old with all of my heart. My sweet middle child.

 Happy Birthday Bubba!
You're a silly boy, and we love you like crazy!

christmas day 2012

We are blessed with three beautiful children. Three beautiful children that amazingly enough, sat still and close enough for a great picture!
We started our day with Jamie's side of the family at Grandma Sharon's house. The boys love going there to play with their cousins. And you can just tell that Harlow loves Morgan.
Packy and Kendra enjoying Christmas dinner.
The boys by the big tree in Grandma Sharon's basement. Hudson did not let his present out of his grip until it was his turn to open.
We gave Grandma a shirt that says, "12 Reasons I Love Being a Grandma" with all of her grandchildrens' names. She loved it!
Our second stop of the day was to Aunt Lisa's. Regan and Sidney had to get their Harlow snuggles in.
The kids- Hudson, Alec, Harlow, Carson, Sidney, Regan, and Paxton.
And with the holidays winding down, this handsome boy/devil turns THREE tomorrow!

christmas eve 2012

Christmas Eve proved to be a wonderful night, filled with food, wine, gifts, and most importantly family. With 3 kids in tow, we got through church smoothly. Harlow drank a bottle, ate nearly an entire container of puffs, and loved looking at the lights and singing along to the songs. Paxton did have an entire king size bag of Skittles, and Hudson talked Grandma's ear off the whole hour. After mass, we headed home to open A LOT of presents from Grandma and Grandpa!!
Our family of five.
The kids are blessed with wonderful grandparents.
This princess enjoyed her first Christmas Eve celebration and looked pretty too.
Like I said, a lot of gifts! Hudson ripped into them in seconds, he couldn't get enough!
Pax on the other hand, decided to watch a movie instead. I tried to entice him by bringing him a present to open...he opened, said thank you, and went back to his movie.
Harlow liked getting in on the action. She'd open anything as long as she could eat the paper afterwards.
Grandpa brought BIG presents!! A huge combine and a huge semi.
And I'll leave you with just one more of this beauty, and her tongue.
