ten months

Harlow is ten months old- March 8, 2013
These are two things she's learned from Hudson- a fake smile and to talk/yell back when being scolded (for pulling out the night light).

 At ten months old.....
weight: 17 1/2 lbs (according to home scale)
length: 27 1/2 inches (but impossible to measure)
diaper size: size 3
clothes: 9 months, but still some 6 months
bottles: completely varies, the only time she's really intersted is in the morning or when she's tired
food: everything, chews small pieces of real food really well
Little things about Harlow.....
-sleeps whenever you put her in her crib
-gives kisses when asked, with open mouth and sometimes tongue
-thinks she's a monkey and tries climbing everything
-can do "so big!", but usually only uses one arm
-would do anything to play with her brothers
-screams and yells if you don't feed her fast enough
-before she does something naughty, she looks back to see if you're watching
-loves, loves, loves bath time
-hates, hates, hates diaper changes and getting dressed
-gives the squintiest smiles ever
-everyone says she could be Paxton's twin
-loves sitting in high chairs at restaurants
-for some reason, whenever grandma babysits her she cries
-climbs the steps at rapid speeds and escapes supervision often
-loves going to Sheri's house because she can reach decorations and has a hay day
-understands the word no, but usually doesn't listen to it
-bypasses Bella's food/water and goes straight for the toilet bowl
-hair is growing long in the back, but not at all on top
-is so happy in the mornings, can barely open her eyes but already smiling
-likes to go to daycare
-likes to play with the fridge magnets
-loves riding in grocery carts
-figured out how to open the cupboard doors and empties the contents often
-still spits/throws up
-when she gets really excited, she makes a panting noise
-mommy is still her most favorite person
-can walk around furniture and wobbly walks behind push toys
-has stood on her own but only for a few seconds
-copies any noise her brothers make and they all think its funny
-absolutely will not sit still

harlow rides

Harlow had a wild night, getting some of the best rides of her life! First, Hudson put her in the laundry basket and pushed her around the house. And while he did it, he said, "We're sailing the seven seas!!". Not sure where he got that idea?!?! Harlow had a blast, but of course would not sit down safely. Sister likes to live dangerously.
Then Jamie got the great idea of bringing the swing in from outside. She L-O-V-E-D it!! Laughed and screamed! And adored her daddy for it!

cheeks don't get any cuter than that.
 her many faces.....blowing bubbles....
 excited and panting....
 and squinty-eyed smile.
bathtime is definitely her favorite time of day.

disney on ice- take 2

Jamie and I took the boys to Disney on Ice- Worlds of Fantasy this past weekend. They both loved it so much the first time we went, I just couldn't pass it up. And since not every show will be so "boy friendly", I figured we had to take advantage when we could. Toy Story was the main attraction this time and they thought it was great! Pax is mesmerized the entire time!! Clapping and waving at the characters. He was certain Rex, his favorite, waved right at him! And Hudson is so into how everything is made- what the costumes were made of, where the people's heads were inside the costumes, how the fireworks came out, and trying to decipher what was a real person and what was just a prop. This kid gets stuff, he isn't fooled by much! Thankfully, he didn't take any of the magic away from Paxton's experience.
We stopped to eat at Chili's on the way home. Hudson and Jamie's FAVORITE place!! Pax had a blue snow cone at the show, and another blue slushy at the restaurant and was entertaining himself with the color of his tongue.
Harlow stayed home with Grandma and Hunter. Hunter says she was an angel, but you'd never get those words out of Grandma's mouth...not when Harlow's getting into the cupboards, climbing the stairs, messing in Bella's food and water...those are not angelic qualities if you ask Grandma. She even kind of has a mischievous smile, doesn't she?? Hunter sent me this picture while we were gone.

sunday

Hudson asks to make something pretty much everyday, but Sundays are great days to find enough time to do it! We both looked through Pinterest on my phone and he picked these paper plate apples.
Of course, this one got a little more messy than necessary.

This one also made a mess! Unfortunately, we un-baby proofed the house when Paxton got older. Big mistake. Had we known this one would be such a trouble maker, we would have lived with the locked cupboards a while longer.
Their finished products! (apple cores, in case you couldn't tell like Daddy!)
After their hard work they went outside with Dad, and me and the girl ran some errands. Sister loves riding in the cart!! She smiles and kicks those feet the whole time.

grocery store

We took a family shopping trip to the grocery store! All five of us. And we all survived. Mom and Dad didn't want to pull their hair out. We had two very full carts, and poor Paxton couldn't even sit. Harlow loved sitting in the cart, and kicked her legs with excitement! And she also loved the crinkly chip bag. The boys were so good they earned a treat at the end.

pushing the walker

This morning, Hudson ran into the living room, grabbed a couple wet wipes, and ran out. Suspiciously, I asked him what he was doing. He quickly said, "I'm cleaning Harlow's walker because as soon as she's done eating, I'm putting her in there." Okay big brother! And he did. Picked her up, lifted her as high as his little strong arms could, and put her in the walker. And he pushed her around, and around, and around the house. And she smiled, and laughed, and held on for dear life. This is one of their favorite things to do. And it's one thing that keeps sister contained for a period of time, and that alone is a blessing!

Pax was a rockstar at the dentist, but we found out his teeth are prone to cavities :(
Hudson loved his stamped toast!
Three heads in a crib. Harlow loves having visitors!
At the clinic for her 9 month appointment.
The prettiest reflection.
On a long ride home, ha!

Leaving my babies at daycare....breaks my heart.
Daddy did a craft with the boys. They were so proud to show Mommy!

children's museum

We ALL went to the Children's Museum on Sunday; mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, and the three kids. Unknowingly, it was FREE day! Good because we didn't have to pay, bad because it was super busy! Paxton loved it and was in his glory discovering new things. Hudson was a little nervous with all the people and stuck close to Grandma. Harlow hung out with Grandpa and did a lot of people watching.

Packy the Turtle

They painted their own faces.
We stopped at Chili's, per Hudson's request, on the way home. Harlow joins us at the table now and she loves it and gets EXCITED!!!
When we have a full car, I sit in back with Packy. We made scary faces.
