baking brownies

Last weekend, while the boys went out for an afternoon with Grandpa, Harlow and I stayed in to bake. She has always loved helping in the kitchen! She pulls "her" chair right up to the counter to get as close as she can. I say "her" chair, because she moves this particular chair ANYWHERE she wants, to get ANYTHING she wants!! As soon as you hear those chair legs being dragged across the tile, you know you have to run to the kitchen to check what she's getting into. Her current favorite thing to steal is jelly beans that she knows are hiding out of her sight and reach. I've debated removing this chair from the kitchen because it's proven to be quite dangerous, as Grandma just found her STANDING ON the countertop! But knowing my girl, she'll just make do and find something else to climb on top of.

Anyway, back to baking.....we decided on brownies. She poured everything in, did almost all the stirring, and definitely all the licking! And when Hudson ate one later that day, I overheard him say, "Harlow makes really good brownies!" Success.
