eleven months

Harlow is eleven months old- April 8, 2013
Not many pictures of her this month because she won't sit still, and she would rather eat her monthly sticker.
At eleven months old.....
weight: 18 lbs (according to home scale)
height: 29 inches (roughly)
diaper size: size 3
clothes: 9 months (and totally sick of the winter wardrobe)
bottles: could care less, only really wants the morning one (5-6 ozs)
food: anything and everything and a lot of it!
Little things about Harlow......
-she loves to give open mouth kisses, but if she's feeling lazy, she'll just give you a cheek
-knows to throw her do-do (pacifier) in the crib when she wakes up
-she's a beginner walker! she's taken about 10 steps on her own
-she can stand for seconds, and can stand up from a sitting position
-knows how to say "more" in sign language and does it all the time while eating
-not spitting up nearly as much, thank goodness!
-she's starting to play toys (puts balls in, drives trucks, pushes buttons, etc.)
-says "mama" with purpose and melts my heart (and I think she knows it)
-she repeats the word "hot" when I tell her not to touch the bathroom heater
-she puts her hand to her ear like a telephone when someone says hello
-is constantly drooling again! (still 6 teeth)
-she can literally hang her entire body weight by her tiny fingers!
-loves the bumper ties in her crib, first thing she grabs for and rubs them to fall asleep
-points the remote control at the TV
-has a runny nose every day of her life
-claps her hands for patty cake and when we say yea or good job
-weirdest thing she likes is a plastic baggie of markers (no idea why?)
-she does everything she knows she's not supposed to, and she'll give you a look while she's doing it
-been climbing the stairs for months, but can now go down a few too, very slowly
-can be pretty dramatic if she doesn't get her way
-when I show her an animal, she'll say "roar"
-will look when called Harlow, Toots, Sis, Sissy, or Sister
-enjoys playing with other babies her size
-rarely wants to snuggle :(
-still loves daycare
-is still growing a fantastic mullet

toys

Harlow has started to play toys, like really play. This is her favorite (Thank you godparents, Ryan and Liz!). She can put the balls in, watches it spin, dances to the music, and chases after them when they fly out. It's the perfect toy for her, busy just like she is!
And sister is 11 months old today......monthly post to come.

games, games, games

Like father, like son.....
These two are addicted to a racing app on our phones. And I mean ADDICTED! They've even gotten my littlest boy over to their dark side. He used to do puzzles and educational games, now they all just want to race. And all I hear from any of them is, "Can I play your phone? Can I play your iPad?" And something tells me this is just the beginning.
But let's just look at how cute this (munchie) face is.

work playdate

We hosted another playdate this weekend....a baby playdate! My friends from work that all have babies around the same age as Harlow came over for lunch and fun. It was literally IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of them all together. With crawlers and kind of walkers, we set them in a row and in seconds they were scattered amongst the living room. Not to mention, they beat up on each other a little bit. My friend Jessica always teased that since Harlow was a wild woman, she'd be the one to pick on her (one month younger than Harlow) Reagan....but...Reagan proved her mom wrong as these pictures will illustrate.
First, a little drums on the back of the head. Clearly, Norah and Liam were in shock of the abuse happening.
Then, a hand over the mouth (I could see her mother doing this to me. Ha, sorry Jess!).
 Planning her next move.....
Trying to steal her headband. I'm guessing her mom told her to do that :)
Thankfully, Liam was there to comfort her.
Harlow and Norah were all about the snacks. I laid puffs in front of them and they were like scavengers who'd never eaten before.
It was a great afternoon, we loved getting these kids together, and hope we can do it many more times.

easter 2013

the morning began with the kids coming down to find their easter bunny gifts. harlow enjoyed chewing on her gifts from the bunny. this happy moment was before she realized that her brothers got more candy than her, at that point, the dramatic tears and screams reared their ugly head.
hudson's funny faces and silliness easter morning.

pax slept in late and was the last one to check for his bunny gifts. he did a full search of his basket for bunny turds.
their faves: hudson his stick horse and pax his wings.
we went to grandma sharon's on our first stop where hudson loved running wild with his big boy cousins, declyn and bryce.
pretty girls- morgan and harlow.
we headed home for a quick, indoor egg hunt (thanks to grandma and grandpa).
then out to ditty's for some family lovin'.
and the most adorable smiles.
harlow was beautiful in her easter dress, and showing off her standing and patty cake skills.
our blessed family.
i'm a lucky mommy.

playdate

We hosted a massive play date on Saturday with a total of 8 kids, all 4 years old and under! There was slight chaos, lots of running, toys thrown about, a couple tears, some snacks, and loads of fun. The big kids ran off on their own and the babies rolled, crawled, and climbed.
The two youngest babes; Harlow and Viviana. Vivi was happiest eating Harlow's fingers. You'd think Harlow would've minded, but she didn't. In fact, she put her fingers back in Vivi's mouth for her!
Harlow was happiest stealing Vivi's barrette.
And they both liked to flail their arms about with excitement!
The three little girls- Harlow (10 months), Vivi (7 months), and Reese (13 months).
