29

Mommy's birthday, with the kids.
But it took a couple tries to get there.
Daddy and the boys made cupcakes last night and we iced them today.
 And sang Happy Birthday!
 29 roses from Jamie.
I thought Harlow's gift to me was giving me the biggest smiles this morning, so big they made her cough! But then this afternoon, while changing her diaper, she pooped....on me....like seriously, it shot out like a rocket, literally all over me! So bad that it had Jamie actually thanking the Lord that it didn't happen to him (as he gagged while handing me a plastic bag). Thanks Harlow!

Things they say.....

While eating unmade Stove Top stuffing out of the can Hudson said to Jamie, "Daddy, when I get big and go to work like you, I'm going to take this for my lunch."

33

We celebrated Daddy's 33rd birthday today. Hudson asked all day how old Daddy was, and how old Mommy was, and how old pretty much everyone he knew was! He is very interested in everyone's ages and is asking all the time.
Daddy and his three.
 Daddy and his girl.
He opened all of his presents, and kept hinting that there was one present he really wanted and didn't get....and then Mommy surprised him with the last one...tickets to the Zac Brown Band concert!! He was very excited.

Daddy didn't get to blow out his own candles.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY, WE LOVE YOU!

Probation Department Babies

Harlow and I went to a shower at my work today and we met two friends, Nora (4 1/2 months) and Reagan (3 weeks). It was fun to see babies so close in age, but so different in size. Its amazing how fast they grow! Sad. And Harlow was given the nicest compliment, one we haven't heard before. My friend Nicki said she was "stunning". So sweet.

2 month appt.

Harlow had her 2 month well baby check up yesterday. These appointments are always a little bittersweet. We get to see how much she's growing, get reassured that she is most definitely just as perfect as we think she is, but she also gets shots. 3 of them to be exact. And for some reason, with a girl, its a little bit worse seeing her hurt and crying. Hunter came with us and although she herself had to plug her ears and look away, she said Harlow "took it like a champ". Dr. Frani said Harlow is a very strong little girl, emphasis on the little, weighing 10 lbs 4 oz (only the 25th percentile) and is 22.5 inches long (53rd percentile- however I'm certain she was stretched an extra half inch and is really only 22 inches). But the best news, she doesn't have the large head her brothers have, ha! Her's is only in the 30th percentile! Petite girl.
Hunter gave her some extra snuggles after those nasty shots.
Because of the pokes (see the giant band aids) she had a temp of 99 and got her first ever dose of Tylenol and slept from 9:30pm-8:00am. And this morning, she seems to be her normal happy self, already taking her morning nap to be fully rested to go see a new baby friend this afternoon.

our mini-vacation

Monday afternoon we spent at the Como Zoo where the boys had a BLAST on the rides!! They rode over and over again, even with the heat and their red, rosy cheeks! Maddi even met us for awhile and we walked through to see the animals.

I love the expressions caught in this picture! They were a little nervous for this ride at first, but both really enjoyed it.
Harlow kept cool in the stroller.
But came out for awhile to eat and enjoy the shade.
We spent the night in a hotel and since the boys can both swim with water wings, Grandma and I were able to handle them in the pool while sister napped in her carseat.
It was her first time at a hotel and I think she liked it. She got to sleep in a big bed with Mommy, and she slept from 10:00pm-8:30am. Such a good girl!
Then on Tuesday we went to Nickelodeon Universe where the boys rode the rides like crazy again.

And this time they really liked the frog hopper one! Screamed and laughed out loud!
Again, Harlow's first trip to the Mall of America.
We ate at the Rainforest Cafe. Sure was an experience for the boys. Thunder and lightning, crazy monkeys, and chomping alligators! Paxton was so funny. He loved it, but had to sit on my lap nearly the whole time. He kept saying, "Mommy, that monkey keeps lookin' at me. He's lookin' at my face." It was hilarious, and he was convinced that a monkey was staring him down!
These two fit right in to the noisy jungle!
Thank you Grandma!! For taking us on a great mini-vacation! We all had so much fun and its a blessing to watch the boys make such wonderful memories together.

Peek.....

I'm going to get a little behind on my blogging (baptism yet to come) because Grandma and I took the kids on a short trip; today to the zoo and hotel, and we'll see what tomorrow brings us. So here's just a little peek at our fun so far, through phone pictures.
