work playdate

We hosted another playdate this weekend....a baby playdate! My friends from work that all have babies around the same age as Harlow came over for lunch and fun. It was literally IMPOSSIBLE to get a good picture of them all together. With crawlers and kind of walkers, we set them in a row and in seconds they were scattered amongst the living room. Not to mention, they beat up on each other a little bit. My friend Jessica always teased that since Harlow was a wild woman, she'd be the one to pick on her (one month younger than Harlow) Reagan....but...Reagan proved her mom wrong as these pictures will illustrate.
First, a little drums on the back of the head. Clearly, Norah and Liam were in shock of the abuse happening.
Then, a hand over the mouth (I could see her mother doing this to me. Ha, sorry Jess!).
 Planning her next move.....
Trying to steal her headband. I'm guessing her mom told her to do that :)
Thankfully, Liam was there to comfort her.
Harlow and Norah were all about the snacks. I laid puffs in front of them and they were like scavengers who'd never eaten before.
It was a great afternoon, we loved getting these kids together, and hope we can do it many more times.

easter 2013

the morning began with the kids coming down to find their easter bunny gifts. harlow enjoyed chewing on her gifts from the bunny. this happy moment was before she realized that her brothers got more candy than her, at that point, the dramatic tears and screams reared their ugly head.
hudson's funny faces and silliness easter morning.

pax slept in late and was the last one to check for his bunny gifts. he did a full search of his basket for bunny turds.
their faves: hudson his stick horse and pax his wings.
we went to grandma sharon's on our first stop where hudson loved running wild with his big boy cousins, declyn and bryce.
pretty girls- morgan and harlow.
we headed home for a quick, indoor egg hunt (thanks to grandma and grandpa).
then out to ditty's for some family lovin'.
and the most adorable smiles.
harlow was beautiful in her easter dress, and showing off her standing and patty cake skills.
our blessed family.
i'm a lucky mommy.

playdate

We hosted a massive play date on Saturday with a total of 8 kids, all 4 years old and under! There was slight chaos, lots of running, toys thrown about, a couple tears, some snacks, and loads of fun. The big kids ran off on their own and the babies rolled, crawled, and climbed.
The two youngest babes; Harlow and Viviana. Vivi was happiest eating Harlow's fingers. You'd think Harlow would've minded, but she didn't. In fact, she put her fingers back in Vivi's mouth for her!
Harlow was happiest stealing Vivi's barrette.
And they both liked to flail their arms about with excitement!
The three little girls- Harlow (10 months), Vivi (7 months), and Reese (13 months).

those smiles

Moments like this, when they're best friends, this is happiness.

egg dyeing

Traditional egg dyeing...half naked this year.
They took their missions very seriously. Hudson to make his eggs look pretty and perfect. Paxton to put his eggs in as many different colors as possible until its the ugliest Easter egg ever made.
And sister was just mad she didn't even get to touch an egg!

Pre-K Open House

Paxton had Preschool Open House last week and was VERY excited to go see "Hudson's school". And Hudson was MORE THAN excited to show him his school. He was the proud big brother, showing his little brother the ropes. Pax has changed a bit and has recently become a shy boy. Like "hide his head in my coat while smiling that shy smile and not talking" kind of shy. The teacher asked if he was Hudson's brother, asked if his name was Paxton, asked him how old he was....and nothing. No response from him other than that shy smile. With all of that said though, he loved it there. The running around and playing with different toys part. But when it came to the activities that were set out, in typical Paxton form, he had no time to sit down and draw/color/cut! And he did not want to leave, so we had to bribe him with a cookie and going to rent a movie. These parents are not above bribery!
I'm not sure this school is ready for BOTH of these Johnson boys! And I know I'm not ready for them BOTH to be in school. How do babies get this old?

she's trouble

A few pictures we've been quick enough to take of Harlow, to illustrate just how much trouble she is....

Living on the edge, LITERALLY! She climbed up the stairs (like she does a million times a day) and just held on tight and hung off the edge. And just to note, Jamie was underneath her while I took this picture, arms open to catch a falling baby.
Another one of her favorite daily activites, climbing on top of the diaper caddy to tear down and destroy anything sitting on the table. (Sidenote- is that the cutest butt you've ever seen or what?!?!)
After this kept happening, she now gets strapped in and boy does that tick her off!
She literally tries to climb up and on top of anything and everything!
Jamie was giving Hudson and Paxton a bath when Harlow dove in head first. Downstairs, I could hear a loud thump and then out of control laughter from the boys. Seconds later Jamie brings a sopping wet, crying Harlow down to me. She wasn't crying because she was hurt or scared, but because Daddy took her out!
So there, just a few days in the life of Harlow and her exhausted parents. She's a handful.

sunday swimming

We went to the Lake Crystal Recreation Center on Sunday. It was Harlow's first time in a swimsuit and pool. That cute little body in a suit was almost too much! And she loved the water. Poor little thing seems to have terrible circulation and had the most purple lips, hands, and feet, and the water wasn't even cold. Didn't seem to phase her though, she stayed in for 2 hours. The boys loved running around on their own, playing together, even holding hands (showing a little butt crack!)....making this mama so proud! It was a cold Sunday afternoon well spent. And here is a photo overload.....
