Hudson ran errands with his dad tonight so Paxton and I had the house to ourselves, and Pax had the bathtub to himself!

Duck Hunting

Daddy went duck hunting last weekend and I don't know how I could've forgotten to post this picture, thankfully Daddy reminded Mommy about it. Ha! The boys were proud of the dead ducks Dad brought home but Mommy made sure they didn't touch them!

Halloween has arrived....

The Halloween decorations are out at Sheri's house!! Something we wait for every year. Something that Hudson both loves and dreads. Paxton, he's intrigued by everything, snooping around to see each and every spider and ghost. And Hudson loves the skeletons, but despises the witches, can't even look at them. He has to walk around the house with his eyes closed when he gets near one. Usually by the end of the season he's used to them and actually likes them, but it takes a while for him to warm up.

Daycare sent me these pictures today of our little boy "getting married" to Brenley. I almost died laughing! And if you look closely, they're holding hands in both pictures. Just kills me!

Emma Krumbee's Scarecrow Festival 2011

We took our annual trip up to Emma Krumbee's Scarecrow Festival this afternoon. And be prepared for a picture overload to follow.....

Once again, poor Pax was left in tears because he didn't want to get off the horsey.

Paxton wouldn't sit still long enough for any pictures with his brother, so the following few are of my oldest child, the only one with patience!

The train ride is a favorite of both boys, and Mommy.

We love the Scarecrow Festival and are sure to be back again next year!

Addy's Graceland 2011

We celebrated our friend Addy today! She is fighting and winning the battle with leukemia and today was a day for everyone to show her just how proud and amazed we all are of her.

The boys painted pumpkins and both thoroughly enjoyed it! And of course, Paxton had paint on his ears, nose, arms, and shirt, but Hudsy, not a drop!

Hudson built-a-bug.
After seeing kids fly down head over feet, Hudson wasn't too sure about the big slide and insisted Grandma slide down with him. Sorry Grandma, I had to post it!

Since Hudson didn't win his favorite game "Ring Toss", Pax thought he'd have a try. His strategy was to throw 2 at a time, but he didn't win either.

Handprints....

Hudson and Paxton were able to go out to the farm today and put their handprints and footprints in Grandpa's new cement. Grandma and Vicky took them out and said both boys did a great job and loved it!

They also found Mommy's handprints from when I was 3 years old.

Hudson LOVED getting a ride on Grandpa's combine. He took him down the driveway and Grandma said he did not want to get out!

Grandpa promised he'd call him when the corn was ready to pick. On the way home, Hudson said "I hope Grandpa doesn't forget to call me."

Hudson the Duck

This is one Halloween costume we'll be wearing this year...but not Hudson's. He wanted to see what he'd look like as a duck, but come October 31st, Paxton will be the one quacking!

Hayride!!

We went out to a coworkers annual party tonight and Hudson was so excited because we were going on a hayride!!!

And he loved holding this kitty.

The perfect fit for toddlers! The boys enjoyed playing with my coworkers little girl, Emerson. Sharing crackers and cheetos!

Homework

Hudson finished his homework tonight before returning to school again tomorrow. He was excited to do it, even though he had no idea what "homework" was when I told him we'd be doing it after supper. He had to make a scrapbook page about him. We added family pictures, Paxton, Grandpa and Grandma, his godmother Maddi, a picture of his swinging (his favorite!), and stickers of balls and toys. It turned out great! And he loved all the cutting and gluing!

Wednesday's are BAAAAACK!!!

Tis' the school season, and that means our favorite day of the week has returned....suppers on Wednesdays!!

School for Pax

Another year of ECFE started tonight and since Hudsy started preschool this year, Paxton gets another turn at "school". He had fun playing with toys, doing a few art projects, having snack, and playing with Brenley.

Sidney's 3rd Birthday Party

We headed up to the cities for Sid's birthday party. The boys always love going there to play with the girls, whether it be to swim in the pool or play in the house.

Pax played a little dress up with the girls, sporting heels and a diaper. Stud muffin!
But when you go to a girl's house, you play with girl toys. And neither of my boys really mind. It's all new to them.

Hudson had loads of fun playing with the water and a tiny cup, and got soaked in the process!

Pax wanted everything to do with getting wet as well!
