Trick-or-Treat

And the boys put on their costumes for the last time. The tiger was more than excited to go trick-or-treating and get loads and loads of candy! He was definitely on a sugar high, drunk on suckers! Big ones, little ones, caramel apple ones, skeleton ones, ones with spiders in the middle.....every Halloween kind on the face of this universe! He knocked on doors, stating "I am here for trick-or-treating! I want that kind of candy please, thank you!" And the spider came along for the ride, receiving ooo's and ahh's for how cute he was! And I may be biased, but man was he ever adorable! And I'm not sure spiders have cute, black button noses, but Aunt Vicky insisted!

Halloween Gift Giving

In this family we give gifts for every holiday, and Halloween is no different! So the fun started with a little, I mean A LOT of present opening! The boys thank everyone for all of their great presents!
"Can somebody please get this open for me!!"
A tractor in his favorite color....BLUE!!!
The perfect pillow to snuggle up with!

Pumpkin Carving

We carved our 3 pumpkins today, in Sesame Street theme......
Daddy did Bert & Ernie, and Mommy did Elmo.
We went to the basement to light them up.....7 times per Hudson's request! He's going to love Aunt Sheri's house tomorrow night!

Halloween Party #2

Today we headed over to Courtland's Halloween Party and again, the boys had fun, mostly playing in the corn bins! Hudson got his face painted again, this time a candy corn and a BLUE ghost! He told the lady to make it his favorite color, so blue it was! After Paxton enjoyed a pumpkin cookie, he fell asleep right on Daddy's lap. He was Halloween Party'd out! I think Mommy and Daddy were too!
Playing with their cousins; Bryce, Morgan and Alyssa.
A spider digging for spiders...
CHEEKS!!
Hudson and Brody...Brody was rocking the bench and Hudson was laughing hysterically!
And our poor, headless spider

Introducing the Tiger and the Spider....

Mommy and Daddy took the boys to the ECFE Halloween party and we had a lot of fun, especially Hudson! He played all the games and won prizes! He was very proud of himself. Both boys really like having their costumes on. Hudson would be a tiger all day! And Paxton is the cutest, little pudgy spider!
Hudson loved this puppy!!
Getting face paint; a ghost and a spider.
Admiring his cheeks!
Hudson playing Plinko.
Paxton the Spider
Pax and Brenley; the cutest bee I've ever seen, with the most adorable little antennas!

10 MONTHS OLD

10 things about Paxton:
1. He still loves his mommy more than anyone else.
2. He drools like crazy!
3. He scrunches his nose when he smiles real big.
4. He sleeps with a nuk in his mouth and one in his hand.
5. He eats a TON!
6. He could follow Hudson around all day and be happy.
7. He'd rather crawl than learn to walk.
8. He smiles real big when Daddy walks in.
9. He snorts when he gets really excited.
10. He gives THE BEST hugs, both arms wrapped around your neck tight as he can!

Did you know we have a dog???

Yea, sometimes we forget about Bella too.

This kid.......

is simply silly....
and loves to snack!!

Hudson and his favorite witch.
Carving and coloring pumpkins with Hunter.
This is Paxton's, "What did I do?" face. He got yelled at for touching the plug-in.
And this is him lying on the floor, yelling until someone feeds him. He's a demanding little guy! And a hungry one at that!

Braggin' to Daddy....

Daddy was gone in South Dakota over the weekend so Hudson was excited to show him his Potty Chart and count his FIVE stickers! Yep, one more than yesterday :) He said, "Count em' Daddy, I think there's 5! And see this truck, I want a blue one of them."

Hudson's E-card.....

Uncle Bill and Aunt Sandi sent Hudson a Halloween e-card and every night before bed he has to do it 2 times! It's a scary card that he clicks his way through until the funny little monster appears in candy corn jammies! Hudson loves it, even though sometimes (even after 50 times!!) he still has to cover his eyes, peeking through his fingers :)

Day #2-- One Step Forward, Two Steps Back

It took Hudson all morning to finally go potty on the toilet, and when he did, he didn't even realize he went. But none the less, we cheered and clapped, he washed his hands, picked out a sucker, and put a sticker on his chart!! The 2nd time he went, he even told Grandma he had to go and ran to the toilet! Another sucker, another sticker. Then suddenly, things went downhill. He started getting nervous, and I think its because he had to go poopy but wasn't about to do that on the toilet. From there on, he went back to crying and resisting. All in all it was a rough day, he earned 4 stickers, and went to bed saying he had a tummy ache. Potty training is by far my least favorite thing to do, and I think Hudson would agree!

Spider Cupcakes

Hudson made Spider Cupcakes today and he loved it! He dipped the chocolate frosted cupcake in the sprinkles, poked 6 pretzel legs in, and added 2 M&M eyeballs.
The finished product.
And the REWARD!!!!

Potty Training Day #1= Success....

But don't get too excited just yet! Hudson went on the toilet every 25 minutes today (we even set a timer!) but he never actually went in the toilet. I'm still calling it a successful day because we started with screaming, crying, and resisting kicks....but we ended the day with a 2 year old boy who somewhat enjoyed sitting on the toilet but still hasn't bought into actually peeing in it. So, tomorrow is another day and we'll give it another shot.

Hudson's new "Potty Chart". He gets to put a sticker in a square every time he goes potty on the toilet (either the big toilet or the truck potty chair). When he earns 10 stickers, he gets to buy a new toy truck!!!

Here is the face of a boy who is amazed and simply content just watching his big brother.......

Pushing the cart......

Suddenly this morning, at 6:00am mind you, Paxton decided he could walk behind his grocery cart. He pulled himself up and walked right across the living room floor. Hudson and I both stopped to watch and Hudson said, "Ha! Baby Brother can walk now Mom! You should take a picture!" And so I did.....

Grandma Sharon's Hay Ride

We went to Grandma Sharon's house for a hay ride on Saturday night. Both boys are still fascinated by this hamster/gerbil/mouse....I don't know what it is but either way its a gross rodent! Hudson fed it some snacks and they watched it stretch out to about a foot long as it squeezed through the tubes! Y-U-C-K!!! Aunt Shelly joked that she'd get Hudson one for Christmas but I said only one of us can live in the same house, so its either me or the mouse! I would hope my boys would pick their Mommy!

We all went on a hay ride and Hudson had a blast! "I'm so excited, Mommy! Are you so excited?" he said. It was chilly so we all cuddled in together and enjoyed the ride.
