One Year Stats

Paxton had his 12 month doctor appointment today. Other than a piercing scream during his 3 painful shots, he was a very good boy! I've been blessed with easy doctor visits with these 2 boys. Paxton is our tall and skinny boy weighing in at 20 lbs. 10 oz (19%) and reaching the sky at 30 3/4 inches (80%!!!!!!!!!). Just to compare to Hudson, we've never seen percentiles like that. At 12 months Hudson was 21 lbs. 10 oz (27%) and 29 1/4 inches (25%). But an even better comparison is at 24 months, Hudson was 32 3/4 inches, only 2 inches taller than Paxton is right now! Paxton is clearly taking after his Daddy, and Hudson after Mommy.
Notice the sticker for being such a good boy!
And a special treat from Hudson, a lick of his sucker!

Only with Maddi......

Maddi got Hudson a farm animal memory game for Christmas and he only wants to play it with her. Mommy asked him if he wanted to play and he clearly stated, "No Mommy, Maddi's not here silly." Oh, my mistake! What was Mommy thinking??

PAXTON IS ONE!!!

Paxton Hunter turned one year old today!
And because it was his day, Hudson was nice enough to play with him.
And Paxton shared his new Toy Story tent/tunnel with him in return!
We went to the Mexican restaurant and Pax wore the sombrero!
He loves horsey with Grandma!
Mommy and her baby.
Pax and the 3 girls.
Digging into his cupcake.

Happy Birthday Pax!!! We love you!!!!

Christmas Day at Uncle Lon and Ditty's

The boys with their godmommies.
Dancing fools!!
Sid and Pax rocking and bobbing together. It was so cute!
Playing Nintendo DS with Dom.
Admiring the tree from the top.
And Paxton ended the holiday, naked!!

P.S. Hudson had so much fun running around at Ditty's house that I feel like I barely seen him on Christmas.....hence why there's barely any pictures of him! We didn't even attempt a family picture, Hudson would have been a blur!

Big Buck Hunter

Christmas morning started out with more presents! The favorite being Hudson and Paxton's present to Daddy.....Big Buck Hunter for the TV!!
Mommy said the basement would be a good place to play that game, so down they went.
And Daddy was a proud daddy!
And all through the afternoon, Hudson asked Daddy, "Can we go down and shoot again Daddy?"

Christmas Eve 2010

Our family on Christmas Eve
Mommy and Hudsy
Mommy and Pax (I wanted a picture with both boys together, but Hudson wasn't having it!)
All dressed and ready for church.
Paxton is always anxious to eat!
Grandpa bought the boys tractors just like his!
Hudson loved every minute of present opening! He opened his, Paxton's, and Mommy's.

But this one is just not interested in opening anything.
This isn't even half of their presents! It sure is nice to be a spoiled grandchild!

The whole clan!

Thank you Grandpa and Grandma! We love you.

Santa came!!

Thanks to the oats and sparkles, Santa and his reindeer found Hudson and Paxton! And he brought great toys! Hudson's favorite; a motorcycle (a trike). Paxton's favorite; well, its hard to tell because he was far too busy with everything going on, he had no time to stop and play with just one thing!
We made the mistake of putting on a Christmas movie while we opened gifts. They were a little preoccupied at times.
But it didn't take long for Hudson to dive right in. He was so fun to watch! Every present he would say, "I wonder what it could be?" And immediately after unwrapping, he wanted everything opened.
And Santa was listening, he brought Hudson a new tractor! Notice the little munchkin in the background going after the tree!
Another favorite, pretend pizza!
Merry Christmas Eve!

Milk & Cookies

Hudson got ready for Santa to come tonight (Paxton was fast asleep by this time!). Hudson picked what he wanted to give Santa, and of course he had to do it all by himself.
First, some Rolo treats.
Then a few pretzel treats. But he couldn't help himself and needed to have just one!
And lastly, a big glass of milk.

Enjoy your treats Santa!

I live here Santa!!

Hudson sprinkled oats and sparkles for Santa and his reindeer to see tonight. He wanted to make sure Santa finds his house so he gets lots of presents!

Christmas Shirts

The boys had their Christmas party at daycare today, so they wore their Christmas shirts. Hudson's says, "Dear Santa, for Christmas I want a dog, a bike, and put my brother on the naughty list." Very fitting!
And Paxton is cute as a button in his Charlie Brown shirt.

About Hudson.....

Hudson turned 2 and a half years old yesterday! And Mommy just wanted to share a few things about her oldest baby boy......30 things for 30 months old....

1. Every morning when he wakes up he yells, "Mommy, where are you? I'm awake now."
2. He is a blabbermouth!! Constantly talking about anything and everything! We've visited preschools and have been told by the teachers who meet Hudson, that he should skip preschool and go right to Kindergarten.
3. He has a very good imagination and plays independently very well.
4. He sometimes loves his brother, but mostly not.
5. He has finally let go of his da-do's (pacifiers). The garbage truck came and took them all away. One day he watched a garbage truck drive by and he yelled, "Wait, you have my da-do's in there!"
6. Grandma is his favorite person.
7. He drinks milk from the second he wakes up, to the second he goes to bed.
8. He scolds Daddy for putting his feet on the table, leaving his socks on the floor, and falling asleep on the couch. Mommy's little helper!
9. He LOVES driving his tractors around the house.
10. He is obsessed with suckers! Even prays for them at night.
11. He's not yet potty trained, and it was a disaster when we tried! He still refuses to go, but will tell you when he's peeing and pooping and that he needs to be changed.
12. Just like his Daddy, he loves having company over at the house.
13. He likes talking to people on the phone. But will only ever pretend to call Grandpa.
14. He loves to eat apples.
15. He loves Toy Story, especially Toy Story 3. Mr Pricklepants in his favorite.
16. He has an impeccable memory! Amazes me everyday with what he remembers!
17. He knows that H is for Hudson, P is for Paxton, M is for Mommy, and G is for Grandma. After going through those letters he tells me that he's bored and done doing that.
18. He knows what everyone's favorite color is.
19. He does not share his toys well with Paxton, but he will always give Pax a "replacement toy" after he's ripped something out of his hands.
20. He hates eating meals, and would love to snack all day long.
21. If he wants something, he will bribe you with kisses.
22. He has never called Paxton by name, only Baby Brother.
23. He will fake a tummy ache to either get out of lunch/supper, or by saying he needs to lay on the couch instead of going to bed.
24. He has his "terrible two's" moments, and sometimes has "terrible two's" DAYS!
25. He loves looking at Christmas lights and gets very mad at the houses that don't put any up.
26. He is a very restless sleeper! From one end to the other, sideways and upside down!
27. He loves reading books and always wants to read just one more.
28. He still has that unattractive, cheesy smile.
29. He has to touch everything!!
30. And my favorite thing...he will always say "I love you too".

LOGIE'S HOME!!!!

It's been almost a month since we've seen Logie's beautiful face! And in the world of a 2 year old and 1 year old, a lot can happen in a month! I was taking Logie and Hudson's picture when Paxton walked across the living room floor. Logie's jaw dropped open and said, "He's walking!!!!!"
You know that saying, "The quickest way to a man's heart is through his stomach"? This is very true for Paxton!

Just like Big Brother

Paxton usually follows Hudson around, watching his every move. Sometimes Hudson will acknowledge him and ask him to play, other times he'll whine and complain that Baby is too close to him. But last night, Paxton followed Hudson through the house pushing around his own little combine, as they both made the "vroom" noise. And Hudson didn't mind a bit. It was adorable, one of those "melt Mommy's heart" kind of moments.
