weekend in the backyard

We didn't go anywhere this weekend, and I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. It was gorgeous!!!! And we loved it!!! I love weekends like this.
Saturday the boys had their own picnic on the tramp.
Harlow had her first meal outside. My girl is getting so big. She had her last bottle this weekend and is loving milk out of a sippy.
It's fun watching all three of my babies playing outside.
 See, she's soooooooo  big!
He posed for a sweet picture.
So of course, this one had to too.
We did a lot of playing with the neighbors. The boys run from yard to yard and have the time of their lives. We are so lucky.
Sister is struggling with getting those dang "i" teeth out. She did her best at playing, but rested well too, taking 3 and 4 hour naps.
Paxton tried teaching her how to drive the fire truck. I think she'll have it down pretty quick.
Could this kid get any cuter?!?
She liked the wind blowing through her wispy hair.

first glimpse of spring

we were finally able to get outside and enjoy the sun and higher temps. it was harlow's first time really being out, and her very first time walking outside and in shoes. it sure didn't take her long to adapt. she took off right away and was happy just walking around. i thought i'd be exhausted from following her around everywhere, scared of her falling, but she is getting so good on her feet, its not nearly as much work as i anticipated. my girl is getting waaaaay too big, waaaaay to fast!
daddy was telling her that girls aren't supposed to get dirty.
temps reach 70 degress, and the boys are already playing in the water. they woke up from naps today, and the first words out of both of their mouths were, "can we go outside now?". as long as harlow is walking around carrying something, she's happy as can be!
her first steps outside, wearing shoes.

Brothers/friends

The boys woke up on their own this morning and crawled into our bed. Paxton was first, then Hudson. I watched from the bathroom as Hudson crawled in by Paxton, preparing myself for whining, crying, someone stepping on the other, stealing the pillow, one shoving the other off......normal stuff. But what I heard was Hudson say to Paxton, "Its cold buddy, do you wanna snuggle by me?" And Paxton's reply, "Sure Hudson. Come on my pillow." No referee needed.

short videos

Talking mad talk.....
And being naughty in her high chair. She can maneuver herself out of the straps and stand up. And she's quite proud of herself!

So we can look back at what her hair looked like at 11 months old...the perfect mullet.
Here's to hoping for more hair on the top!!!

all 3 in the tub

It started out as bath time for Harlow, playing with fun bath toys.....
And being silly with her hair.......
Then brother #2 begged and pleaded, while naked I might add, if he could pleeeeeeeease get in with his sister, and Mom finally gave in......
Shortly after, brother #1 found out everyone was gathered in the bathtub and he just had to join! Harlow thought this was the greatest bath of all time, and she loves baths!! She laughed, screamed, and splashed. Kept pinching Paxton in pure excitement. Even though it wasn't in my plan, I'm glad they shared a moment, all three of them together.

she walks

Harlow has been walking for about 2 weeks now. She's taken more than a dozen steps, and has even turned herself around and kept on walking. She's wobbly but determined, and she loves it! Smiles with every step. At just before 11 months, she's our earliest walker (no surprise there!).

eleven months

Harlow is eleven months old- April 8, 2013
Not many pictures of her this month because she won't sit still, and she would rather eat her monthly sticker.
At eleven months old.....
weight: 18 lbs (according to home scale)
height: 29 inches (roughly)
diaper size: size 3
clothes: 9 months (and totally sick of the winter wardrobe)
bottles: could care less, only really wants the morning one (5-6 ozs)
food: anything and everything and a lot of it!
Little things about Harlow......
-she loves to give open mouth kisses, but if she's feeling lazy, she'll just give you a cheek
-knows to throw her do-do (pacifier) in the crib when she wakes up
-she's a beginner walker! she's taken about 10 steps on her own
-she can stand for seconds, and can stand up from a sitting position
-knows how to say "more" in sign language and does it all the time while eating
-not spitting up nearly as much, thank goodness!
-she's starting to play toys (puts balls in, drives trucks, pushes buttons, etc.)
-says "mama" with purpose and melts my heart (and I think she knows it)
-she repeats the word "hot" when I tell her not to touch the bathroom heater
-she puts her hand to her ear like a telephone when someone says hello
-is constantly drooling again! (still 6 teeth)
-she can literally hang her entire body weight by her tiny fingers!
-loves the bumper ties in her crib, first thing she grabs for and rubs them to fall asleep
-points the remote control at the TV
-has a runny nose every day of her life
-claps her hands for patty cake and when we say yea or good job
-weirdest thing she likes is a plastic baggie of markers (no idea why?)
-she does everything she knows she's not supposed to, and she'll give you a look while she's doing it
-been climbing the stairs for months, but can now go down a few too, very slowly
-can be pretty dramatic if she doesn't get her way
-when I show her an animal, she'll say "roar"
-will look when called Harlow, Toots, Sis, Sissy, or Sister
-enjoys playing with other babies her size
-rarely wants to snuggle :(
-still loves daycare
-is still growing a fantastic mullet

toys

Harlow has started to play toys, like really play. This is her favorite (Thank you godparents, Ryan and Liz!). She can put the balls in, watches it spin, dances to the music, and chases after them when they fly out. It's the perfect toy for her, busy just like she is!
And sister is 11 months old today......monthly post to come.

games, games, games

Like father, like son.....
These two are addicted to a racing app on our phones. And I mean ADDICTED! They've even gotten my littlest boy over to their dark side. He used to do puzzles and educational games, now they all just want to race. And all I hear from any of them is, "Can I play your phone? Can I play your iPad?" And something tells me this is just the beginning.
But let's just look at how cute this (munchie) face is.
